Less than a quarter way done with ep 9 so far, but . . .
SHE KNOWS. SHE KNOWS!!! SHE KNOWS!!! CAN I SAY FUCKING FINALLY?!
She's in the hospital giving her description of City Hunter, when she flashes back to locking eyes with him when he pulled her up, and then flashes back to locking eyes with Yoon Sung in that almost-kiss scene. SHE KNOWS!!!! Okay or rather she suspects. BUT STILL. And I guess now we know why that almost-kiss scene was in there.
ETA1: SHE CALLS HIM. ASKING IF HE HAPPENS TO BE HURT. GAHHH. And then he goes to sleep that night, has a nightmare that she had really fallen from the ledge and he hadn't been able to hold onto her, and then he decided that he, BEDRIDDEN AND SICK AND WEAK AS HE IS, HAS TO GO OVER TO THE APARTMENT. BECAUSE HE CAN'T REST WITHOUT SEEING FOR HIMSELF THAT SHE'S ALRIGHT.
ETA 3: That is one fine kiss. Mouths moving, hands moving, the whole deal. And after the kiss he pulls back and he can't even look at her, it seems, so he just pulls her into a hug. I have no idea what he said afterwards, but i think it's something about how her kimchi/coffee always tastes better than anyone else's? Oh Yoon Sung, you big romantic. Look at you.
ETA 4: But then of course, when she leaves for a few minutes to make coffee, he comes to his senses and gets out of there, ignoring her calls as he drives home.
ETA 5: Seriously, evil daddy? YOU ARE INSANE. And evil. And did I mention insane?! You are going to get yourself killed one of these days, and you should be thanking Yoon Sung that he had the foresight to make you leave that warehouse before the cops got there. Evil daddy finds out that Yoon Sung loves Nana, and reminds him not to fall in love, or "blood will flow". Well at least he didn't kill her himself. It's surprisingly humane of him.
ETA 6: So Yoon Sung ignores Nana at work, Nana gets fired, I'm pretty sure the prosecutor figured out that Yoon Sung is the city hunter. Or is at least very suspicious.
ETA 7: Yoon Sung is moving out of Nana's house for Phase 1 of pushing Nana away, but stays and waits for her to say goodbye. He falls alseep, she comes back. She makes his favorite dish (just the way he asked her to make it from the last episode) as he sleeps, then goes to wake him up. She touches his hand to wake him up and FLASHBACK to when City Hunter pulled her over the ledge. So she uses her hand to cover half of Yoon Sung's face, like the mask, and realizes that Yoon Sung is definitely the City Hunter. And then, hearing her gasp, Yoon Sung wakes up, sees her visibly freaking out and stuttering her words, and realizes that she knows it's him. ohhhh shit. And of course he pushes her away.
Curse you, drama! I hate this part! BUT YET I LOVE IT SO MUCH. Yoon Sung basically tells Nana, "The kiss was boring. It meant nothing. I'm a playboy, remember? How could I like you?' and leaves. Nana, thank god, looks shocked but doesn't cry.
ETA 8: Jin Pyo kills the first official, Lee Kyung Wan, maybe? Evil daddy sneaks into the hospital pretending to be a doctor, Yoon Sung sees him on TV (what IS it with these people and their aversion to masks or disguises of any kind?) and rushes over there, as does the prosecutor. They show up at the same time, just in time to see two dead bodies being carried out, with a third dead body in the room. Yoon Sung looks shocked, evil daddy sees him there and gives him some sort of significant look, as if to say, "This is the way I'm going to do it.". Damn, that's cold.
