So yesterday sucked, but today I got back on the horse. I decided to go drive out to Arrowhead Marsh in Oakland (a little closer than Point Reyes) to look for the elusive Black Rail spotted days ago. I really had no shot in hell. This is the most reclusive bird in california, spotted once a few days ago only for an instant. The Sibley guide
