yeah, that brian. umm i just saw crazy flouride dude at the City Barket and he wants us to 'score' a docu-dvd, exposing Flouride in all it's rotten rancor for the poison monster he is. to be distributed nation-wide, as well as at the Radio Bean, at the forefront of spring election time, when floride issues appear on ballots in several major cities. in the process that he'll pick some music from his own music collection, as a frame of reference, and then let us go at it in the style... so considering the circumstances at bay, the need for some focus, as well as the fact that Brian probably knows who Goblin is, the obvious choice is that we should enlist the man. PRACTICE MONDAY. organize studio night/fuck off night sunday?? maybe Brian can come Monday??? and we can just play for the sake of playing

when the akron family opened for angels of light a while back (lasy year?) at the great american, i was pretty impressed. they really added a lot to the angels of light, and there own set was quite good.

i saw a really great movie night at foothill college a few years ago where they played plan 9, and a bunch of scopitones.

I gotta throw my vote in on the new akron/angels split - it's great, i remember about a month ago we got the promo and i looked at it, and was like... eh, that akron family album was kind of... cute, and that last angels was kind of... boring... so i just chucked it in my box for another day. When i finally listened to it i was like... Wow! cool... they did that! and then the next track was different, and rockin, in that great fun loose 70s way, and then they didn't something different, and so on, and after i got sick of all of that, they were done and angels comes on for like an after party come down set. i don't think either of them would have been as effective if the other wasn't there... if anything at all, this is a great example of a split. Since then, i've been listening to it at work every other day and it hasn't gotten any less interesting, it's a pretty dense album all together. -tanner

movie file links?

i don't think i'll be much help there.
i don't download any movies.
mark bowen is the only person i know to successfully get good stuff, and have it work.. like when he got us Ken Park.. . but personally if someone has it for download, that usually means it is on dvd somewhere... and i just try and get that... cause it looks a lot better.

i usually only run into subtitle stream pages. and i have yet to see anyone incorporate a subtitle stream with a movie file to make it work.
mark says it always screws it up and makes it looks shitty.

that mp3 you posted of akron family was pretty great.

i was just watching movies on the scopitone blog and i was getting so into it that i forgot i had put a pot of water on the stove for tea (i don't have a teapot). about 5 videos later, while wondering why the windows in my apartment were getting so foggy, i remembered. by that time, the water was long evaporated and there was a strange film zipping around inside the pot and a really bad smell. i might be mildly poisoned, but it was worth it. thanks ben!
