[As if the whole incident never happened, Clod finds herself back safe in her own bed in her normal assigned house. She had survived through the sudden zombie outbreak by hiding in various safe houses. None of it could have been done without those generous people who helped defend her along the way. Out of them, the most noble one would be a ( Read more... )

A wizard and his zombies? [Uh oh...he thinks he knows who this is.] Did this wizard had bright red hair?

I'm not too sure. My "brother" just told me that a mage used his magic to shoot lightning at Josephine.

Can your red-haired wizard do that?

Uh...not sure about that one. Maybe? It might not have been him though if that was the case, he's more likely to have just set the zombies on it...hmm. Maybe it's not who I thought it was.

Who's your brother? Wait...Josephine? I've heard that...Ah! Pokey! Is he ok?

No, probably not. But interesting. This means that there are... three wizards who have been controlling the zombies in this town. We really have lots of ambitious folks here.

[It's not as if she isn't ambitious either, but Clod doesn't consider herself a "scavenger". The dead should remain as such, she believes. There are plenty of more efficient ways to go about a task than digging up graves.]

Oh, so you know my brother. He's doing all right. I think he's trying to repair Josephine right now, the poor girl.

... I could just as easily do it for him, but... God helps those who help themselves.

Did you make it through unscathed?

I take it that you did as well.

Actually, not at all.

... Eh? Don't tell me you were zombified.

I'm still here. Did you make it through the rest of the week all right?

Of course. It would've been problematic if I didn't. An invincible zombie isn't something you people want to have on your hands.

No, I don't think anyone would want to see an invincible zombie. In any case, it's good you survived all that.

Isn't it?

So. How did your amazing new power treat you?

Quickly using this chaos as an opportunity to fulfill one's property damage needs sounds... nauseating.

Only if it was limited to property damage. A friend got herself zombified and killed a little while ago too. Then someone tried using the zombies to lead an invasion which... I think ended without the worst case scenario unfolding.

All in all, though? It isn't the worst riot that ever happened.

handytalent September 25 2011, 23:50:32 UTC
...It certainly has been the worst riot I have seen yet.

I must have missed the part about the attack. Who, pray tell, thought it would be a good idea?

Then that's a good thing. It shows you've lived in a safe environment... well, present location excluded.

And... I wouldn't know his name. But he wore a lab coat and a big, blue helmet... Oh, and he's also a zombie, but he was much bigger than the rest.

I suppawse it'd be smart if you could control them... but yeah, it was pretty great how many people got away! There are a lot of good fighters here.

The town does stuff like this a lot.

Oh, I can vouch for that. A little English boy in blue tried hitting a zombie with just a piece of wood. He wasn't a good fighter, sure, but... he had heart. And isn't that what's important?

... All in all, things were pretty exciting.

Pawsitively!

It was nice to see humans looking out fur each other, too! Did you make it out okay?

[Clod laughs a little at the pun. Just seems silly is all, but everybody has her quirks. For example, she's green.]

Ah, so you aren't human.

And fortunately, I did! It would really have been problematic if I was infected... Not that I know whether I'm capable of being infected, but I'd rather not test it.
