Switching from Junel to Seasonique

That's definitely one of the things Seasonale/Seasonique is associated with, unfortunately. Sometimes your body just doesn't want to go along with the three-month plan! Ordinarily I'd suggesting waiting it out for a few cycles, as different birth control side effects can go down over time, but that's a bit harsh with this formulation. There are some alternatives, which might be a better fit for you if you want to try a switch. One option is a 24/4 formula, like Yaz, LoEstrin 24 FE, or Generesse. These are typically formulated to shorten and lighten your period and reduce the amount of blood loss involved. You could also think about a Mirena, which is a five-year hormonal IUD which commonly either gets rid of your period entirely or reduces it to occasional spotting. This is a more expensive up-front cost, but over time it can be cheaper. If you can't get it funded, the ARCH Foundation can help you fund it.

Thank you so much for your response, I really appreciate it! :) I think I'll finish off this pack and then meet with my gyno to discuss a 24/4 formula, because from your description, it sounds like it would suit me more.
