Question with spotting

Hey guys. So I know spotting is 100% normal on bc, it's nothing to worry about, yadda yadda. However, I'm a little confused because I've been on the same bc (Loestrin 24fe) for three years and I didn't spot at all until six months ago. It may just be that your body chemistry has changed a little over time, to the point where the dose on Loestrin 24 (a very low dose pill) is no longer enough to send the "don't bleed yet!" signal to your uterus for a full 24 days. It's not a particularly uncommon thing to experience on hormonal birth control.

Switching to another formulation -- one with a higher estrogen content, a higher progestin potency, or both -- may fix this issue.
