This might be the wrong place for this, but...

I'm looking for some information on any harm or lasting damage that C-section may do to the uterus. Just to recap, I had a (totally unecessary, IMO) C-section for failure to progress in August 2006. I ended up with a staph infection that went mis-diagnosed for three weeks, but cleared up quickly with the correct (fourth!) antibiotic. I began menstruating again in July 2007. I have had regular periods since then, except for August 2007 when I had a 60+-day cycle. My cycle is much longer now - 35 days average, and I've found that my cervix and uterus are much more tender than they have ever been. I've had some difficulty with my menstrual cup giving me cervical pain and more severe cramps than I'm used to.

Now, I'm at least a week from my period and (probably) not pregnant. I've had bad uterine pain two nights in a row. It's intense, and not at all like cramping. It's sharp and hurts more when I move around (I tried some pelvic tilts to see if that would help - made it worse). I'm beginning to get worried that something is wrong. I've had two pap-smears since giving birth, and both were normal.

Of course, when I search for information about lasting effects that C-section can have on a woman's body, I just get hits talking about the risks of VBAC or mentioning uterine damage, but not explaining it.

Help?
