Dear Festividder,
I'm so sorry this letter is so late in fact you may not even get to read it and I'm fine with that. However if you are reading this I want to say straight away feel free to ignore anything written in this letter, particularly with it coming so late. I'm honestly just so happy anyone's interested in vidding any of these fandoms. In fact I left my request form slightly vague because I wanted to leave things as open as possible for you.
That being said I know it's a lot harder to fill a request than it is to make something you are inspired to create especially when you are looking at a request form thinking "she says she likes a & b but doesn't mention c, does that mean she'll hate her gift if I include c?" So this letter is basically a backup in case my request form is making you tear your hair out. (The answer is no by the way. I love all the characters in the things I picked, that's why I picked them. I really will be happy with anything.)
Music
I have a pretty eclectic taste in my music. My mp3 player has everything from Bach to Zeppelin, Bob Dylan to Nelly Furtado, The Dixie Chicks to Robert Johnson to Tori Amos to The Clash. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is hardcore dance music but there are even exceptions to that rule. I know this isn't very helpful but I was probably most vague when it came to music mainly because I'm interested to see what music you will pick.
Mirrormask
I don't really have much to say about this request, apart from reiterating that I love Helena and Valentine but if they don't inspire you something about Helena and the Princess or Helena and her mother/other mother would be cool too.
In particular I love the mirror world and also the use of masks in the film.
Freaks and Geeks
Like I said in my requests I'm drawn a little more to the Freaks but that doesn't mean that I don't like the Geeks, (clearly Bill is awesome) so if you want to do an all series encompassing vid or a crack Bill vid that would be fine. I ship Lindsay/Daniel but I also like Kim/Daniel and the friendship between Lindsay and Kim.
Sons of Anarchy
So can I offer you anything besides I love Jax? Well I also love Gemma and Halfsack and Cherry. I really just love this whole show, so any vid would be awesome. If I have to make a concrete suggestion I would say something about how conflicted Jax is after the birth of Abel and finding his father's book.
Planet Earth
This is probably the hardest one to give you directions on because I think there is a really awesome vid to be made from this source. It's probably the most beautiful nature program ever. I know the suggestion of a classical piece for this was pretty obvious so if you can think of something better I'll be thrilled. Other than that I just want to say go for it and that the African wild dogs are totally bamfs and the birds of paradise are gorgeous and I love penguins :D
Dollhouse
I don't really have anything to add really, I'd like a vid that looked at the different dolls November, Echo, Sierra, Victor, Whiskey or something about Paul and Mellie. If you can't manage that, I do love Adelle.
Being Human
Again not much to add, I love the 3 main characters so something about their friendship would be awesome. Other than that a Mitchell vid.
Rome
Okay I left this completely open mainly because it's such an epic series and there are so many characters and storylines and relationship that it's really hard just to pick one thing to focus on. I do love Vorenus and Pullo. And the women, Atia, Niobe, Octavia, Servilia, Vorena the elder, all the women really so maybe a vid about the women of Rome. But in particular with this series anything would make me happy.
Gladiator
I'm sensing a theme. I'd like a Maximus vid, from general to slave to gladiator. :D
In terms of style of vid I like all kinds, funny, action. drama, crack. I'd probably prefer a dramatic take on my requests but if you have an idea for a funny vid then go with that. If you find that you're not really inspired by any of my requests separately and want to try to make a multi-fandom or a crossover vid I'm cool with that. In fact a Rome/Gladiator vid could be pretty cool but if you want to have Marshall cracking on to Kim Kelly in the 1980s go for it.
And that's it really. I just want to say again if you have an idea that doesn't fit in exactly with what I've requested that's fine, in fact that's preferable. I really want to see your vid, your ideas and thoughts on whatever our matched fandom is and not my ideas filtered through your skills.
