Dear Festividder,
First off thank you so much for signing up for festivids. If last year's experience is anything to go by it's going to be alot of fun. And thanks so much for making a vid for me :D
I said this last year and I'm going to say it again feel free to ignore anything written in this letter. I'm honestly just so happy anyone's interested in vidding any of these fandoms, I'll be happy with whatever you do. However this letter is here if you want some guidelines because I know it's a lot harder to fill a request than it is to make something you are inspired to create. I forgot to save my request form so please forgive me if I'm just restating things I've already said.
Music - I like all kinds of music, honestly anything from country to rap. I guess my soft spot is for rock and singer songwriters like Josh Ritter or Lisa Hannigan but my tastes are wide ranging so whatever fits for you and your vid.
Request #1: Friday Night Lights - 2004 [Movie] (safety) - I think I said in my request that this is probably my favourite sports movie ever, if I didn't I'm saying it now. I saw and loved this movie before the tv show came along, in fact the movie is the reason that I watched the show in the first place. I love the look of the movie, I love the music, I love all the boys and Coach Gaines, the only thing I don't love is how little of Connie Britton we get (but I guess that's why we got awesome Tami Taylor :D )
I'd love an ensemble vid including all of the boys (and Coach Gaines if you like.) If you wanted to use music from the soundtrack like Explosions in the Sky or maybe Seagull by Bad Company that would be fine, but really choose for yourself, whatever you feel inspired to use.
Request #2: Hustle - 2004 [UK TV] Oh Hustle how do I love thee. I love the breaking of the fourth wall, I love the hustles. I love the cast, especially from the first seasons, Mickey, Danny, Stacie, Ash and Albert. Again an ensemble vid would be cool but I love all the characters so if you want to concentrate on one character then that would be fine too.
Request #3: Last of the Mohicans [Movie] (safety) - I really love Uncas and Alice though I know this would be hard to vid especially when there isn't that much of them in the movie. I also think Cora's pretty much a badass.
Yet again an ensemble would be good if Uncas/Alice is too difficult :D
Request #4: Long Way Round series [TV] - (Long Way Round and Long Way Down)
Charlie and Ewan being awesome together, what else is there to want? Except maybe Claudio and the others :D A fun, friendshippy vid would be great :D
Request #5: Push - 2009 [Movie] (safety) - I love how this movie looks and I think there's a really good action vid to be had from this movie. I love Nick and Cassie of course but I also love all the more minor characters like Emily (Ming-Na) and Hook. I think a Pop Girl vid could be awesome too.
Request #6: Spaced [TV] - I would love anything for this show, anything at all. I love Tim and Daisy and Tim/Daisy and Mike and Marsha and Brian and Twist and Colin :D I love the pop culture references. Just really anything, as long as it's fun :D
Request #7: Stick It [Movie] (safety) - I think this is the only fandom that I listed a song suggestion for and that's only because I've had this idea of a Stick It vid to A Praise Chours for a while but I know I won't get around to making it. However, feel free to ignore that completely and make a vid to whatever song you like. I think that the colours and gymnastics would make for a good vid. I love all the girls particularly Hayley.
Request #8: The Tribe - 1999 [TV] - Again I would love anything for this. Like I said in my request I'd be very surprised if there isn't a good vid to be had from it. And yet again an ensemble vid would be great, I love all the Mallrats, particularly Bray, Ryan, Lex, Amber and Tai San.
