I'm in Paris on the 12th and I will buy a twelfth night cake and the surprise and the Russian doll charms.

Mmmmm...vanilla!I think I had those once at a family Christmas in New Orleans but I was too young and too into straight up candy to really appreciate the flavor. I would suspect they were not nearly as well made, too. Nowadays that's exactly the sort of sweet I love. :9

I hadn't made them for years, and had forgotten how fast and easy they are to make. I must bake more often!

I just stocked the pantry with baking supplies...but forgot to get proper baking tins and whatnot. Oops! But I love to bake, too. I plan on baking cookies for all the guys at Minakawa's workplace. ^_^

Laduree is one of the top three reasons why I want to visit Paris again. Is that sad or what?

Not sad at all, I became obsessed with them after finding a book about Laduree in a book store while on holiday last summer. They are opening a shop in Monaco and there is one within Harrods so there are more options!

Thanks, my BIL asked for Christmas cookies, so I will try and make 3 more sorts before Sunday.
