I finally started using Google Reader so I've added you there.
With your zimtsterne did you whip the egg whites by hand or with an electric hand blender? I don't have the stamina to whip egg whites until firm by hand...and when one adds additional ingredients to the whites it becomes even more difficult. Now I'm reminded that I need to buy an electric hand blender. :D
Oh with an electric blender! By hand, I would die! I knew a girl in Normandy years ago who used to beat her egg whites by hand to make cakes, I thought she was crazy. I'm not strong enough to do it anyway!
Minakawa says his mom can beat egg whites to fluffiness with chopsticks. *dies* I can't even scramble eggs properly with chopsticks!
I wonder why the egg whites didn't get fluffy. I vaguely remember some tricks like chilling the hand blender blades beforehand or something. I'm not sure it really works though. :D
I'm sorry, I'm totally dense...if you can't post replies, then is it not possible to make comments?...I don't understand newsfeeds... Anyway, who cares what the cookies look like if they taste good, right?
Hi Diep, sorry for the late reply, we just came back from my sister's. The feed thing means that LJ has created a new account that will automatically get and post the posts from my new blog - but this new account on LJ is just automated and I won't be alerted if there are any comments to it, so in case you have any comment, please reply directly in my new blog on Typepad!
