The only thing keeping my Lost withdrawal from manifesting itself into a demon baby and beating my worst enemies to death (I’m looking at you, Meredith Grey. Fuck you and your boring emotional baggage) is Heroes. It’s like Lost. Except minus the good doctor’s God complex, Kate’s level five cockteasing, and the button in the hatch you have to push ( Read more... )

I was totally going to start watching Heroes tomorrow until I realized that it's going to be opposite 24!!!! I can't possibly give up Jack's guaranteed thrills for the promise of a group of newcomers.

They were streaming every episode from the NBC website, the day after they aired. I don't know if you've seen the ad, but NBC has been hyping the concept of increasing interactivity (social networking) and I'm under the impression from the press reports that the "Heroes: 360°", which is supposed to go live on Monday is part of this scam plan. Therefore, I can only assume that they're going to continue streaming. I don't have the stats at my fingertips, but Heroes was NBC's most-streamed show and Jericho had the honors on CBS.

PS) I'm with you on the 24 and I'll catch Heroes on the stream because I haven't yet gone to TIVO and I'm too lazy to VCR.

Thanks for the tip! I MIGHT do that, but I really hate not being able to see the totally awesome HD broadcast. I'll probably just wait for the DVD and hope someone blinks and changes the schedule.

I don't know if they'll blink, but I would guess with Heroes' audience numbers, if anything will make them do it, it could be this show.

Fox really doesn't have anywhere to go with 24 and last year, NBC had The Apprentice in that timeslot, but it made money, even if no one watched. Of course the easy answer would be to flip Heroes and Studio 60, but I'm also one of the few that is watching Studio 60, plus it's an expensive show to produce and the Bruckheimer/Caruso crap on CBS is in the top five show.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see, plus I'm probably going to go to TIVO as soon as I can get a phone line into that corner, but in the meantime, I'm going to just have to soothe myself with the streaming version.

Anyway, here's a link to the press release which hypes the "360°" concept.

Heroes is exactly like watching Lost with superpowers

That's EXACTLY what I told David, word for word.

He's in withdrawal now, too. I downloaded every existing episode and made him watch them with me.

I don't like Ali Larter's upper lip. Her smile is gummy. Her mouth just bugs the crap out of me.
