I've been looking for the sun for about a week now with a back pocket full of hope and zero expectations. Bitch took an extended coffee break and forgot to punch out. I've searched for her, climbed the highest hill, walked the longest mile, and the only thing I caught in return was a headache and a cankle ( Read more... )

I'd give you the sun here if I could. Bitch has been beating down on me solid for like a month with almost no beautiful cloudy days! Damn it!!

But I guess I dislike sunny days mostly because I get sunburned really, really easily and I always have to seek shade if it is really bright out, which gets annoying quick.

I want Michigan sun, not southern sun. Sun down there is ridiculously unbearable. Last summer when I was in Georgia, the back of my neck was blacker than coal.

I've tried voodoo, praying, having sex, I sang rain rain go away on my tippy toes as I danced around the room knocking just about everything over, and then I tried having sex again and NOTHING has worked.

Goddamnit.

Europe is cold, Africa is hot. biscuiteater May 19 2006, 19:28:04 UTC
I think you have that backwards. The sun cares a lot about black people. It's you whiteys that have the problems with the pastyness and the whining when you get sunburned.

According to the sign, it's 102° here and we've been lucky because it has rained twice in the last week. These marked the third and fourth rain since October and put together, they totaled about a quarter inch.

I've heard about all your rain and I really feel for you, but I guess you should count your blessings. The other day, my daughter asked if I played in the sprinkler when I was a kid and when I said no, my Dad never watered the grass, she asked how he kept it green. It was then, I had to explain that most places get rain, so she asked what that was like. She couldn't imagine it.
