I applied to Best Buy last year, and when informing me of the duties of the job, they told me that I basically had to do that. Pretend to be best-friend-friendly ("hi? how are you? hows your day been so far?" even though they dont give a shit) and in your face constantly trying to get the sale. I told him that customers hate it when you do that, and he basically told me the interview was over. I shopped at the other best buy after that.

The store I pierce in makes their employees do just that. Its hideous and they've chased many people out of the store. Its like a used car sales lot!
