Robyn Ochs: BI MEN a call for submissions in Writing and Art

Jun 29, 2012 16:09

When introducing Bi Women Newsletter, I am frequently asked whether there is a parallel publication for bisexual men. Sadly, there is not. To help remedy this, I have decided to put out a Special Men's Issue of Bi Women. This will be in Addition To the regular quarterly issues of Bi Women.
If you identify as a bisexual or in some other way as non-monosexual man/male-identified person, I hope you will consider submitting your work. )

I live very far away from Boston, in terms of geography, as well as setting and local mentality. Although I originally come from the DC area, I am one of the very few (as far as I know) bi people in a very small city, in a rural county in Arizona. I have been deeply involved in the small Pride Center here for the last seven years. (It's a miracle this town ever had a Pride Center, and that's largely due to it's founder and executive director). While there is G, L and a surprising amount of T community here, there isn't really any Bi community. I've started reading your newsletter, and even in just the first piece, I've found commonality and and a degree of affirmation I hadn't even realized I'd been missing.

Have you advertised your call for submissions to the Outer Alliance?
