driving down here was met with moments of absolute terror. first audition leads to first job. i guess there was a fear that i would suddenly not know what to do once i got on the set. i can't help but feel so young... part of the terror then became getting to the place on time. originally i was told to be at the hotel at 6. suddenly i was supposed to be downtown a.s.a.p. (4hour 15 min drive done in 3 and a half)
i get downtown and the whole crew and the other actor were all in a production meeting. nothing like being late for a meeting you weren't told was going on. but everyone was very very nice. not at all intimidating filmy, martekingey types. all very artisticy, theatre non-people. after meeting then free dinner, complete with woodpecker. (i still wonder if i ran that light on the way to the freeway. hmmm) the director was extremely complimentary of us both. i beat out more auditionees than i thought. the trick is replicating what i did in the audition. trouble is i read it cold. but i guess thats not really the hard part. the hard part is making people beleive i own a z3.
jade_eyes1213 jokingly suggested that i should look into getting bigger jobs. which is not at all a bad idea. but right now this is the biggest thing in the world to me. and that thought doesnt make me feel as tiny as it did this morning.
