More ventures into adulthood

My holiday was good, if rushed. After being snowed in for a weekend I managed to navigate my way out of the parking lot and up the street the Monday before Christmas. Road conditions were pretty bad (but drivable) up until the county line, after which the road was perfectly clear. Not sure why C-ville and Albemarle were so bad, given how much ( Read more... )

I have a feeling that some way I'll get it done, if only because I've always been able to.

Yep. If you hadn't said it yourself, I would have done so for you. :-D But I would have said that you will because you are too good not to. You'll be fine, but I'm sending good vibes anyway.

You had quite the eclectic Christmas, food-wise. I've never had Indian food, but I've had Ecuadorian ceviche and something else I can't remember the name of, it was fried plantains with cheese. It was good, but I think I would probably like those cranberry scones better. Those sound delicious!

Have a safe and relaxing turn of the year! Many wishes for a great 2010.

It's good to see an update from you! And happy belated birthday; I'm glad you found good Indian in your neck of the woods, and that your folks liked it. (my mother dislikes going with me to Indian restaurants now because she can't tolerate chiles in any form anymore. It sucks.)

If you don't mind my asking, have you made a switch to being a vegan or vegetarian? I remember you've been talking about vegetarian recipes over the past couple of years, but I wasn't sure if you were making a committed effort to vegetarianism of some sort.

I've been just distracted enough by the NFL to not miss MLB too much, but I'm getting rather antsy for the season to come lately. I'm glad the Winter Olympics are on this year.

Good luck getting your proposal ready!

I have been a vegetarian for about two years now, but my sister went vegan last summer so we're a lot more conscious of our food now. A friend gave me a vegan baking book so I think I'll try to expand my culinary creativity with it!
