In other news, I've read 100+ pages of The Hunchback of Notre-Dame in the last three days. You'd never guess that, given Vanity Fair took eight months.

I've never read either Hunchback nor Vanity Fair, but I did finish Ana Karenina. Reading that and One Hundred Years of Solitude has been my greatest accomplishment as a reader.

The only good thing that's come out the the Orioles' 16-41 is that I'm devoting my baseball time to reading. At some point this summer I think I'll check out One Hundred Years of Solitude. I've read two long books back-to-back, so I think I could go with something shorter for awhile. I was thinking about magical realism and Latin American lit a few days ago. I want to go back to Mexico.
