It was: a generator, three car batteries, a huge stereo, huger old box speakers, three tables, five coolers, two grills, two big bags of charcoal, assorted tents & camping gear, a generator, an inflatable party barge, and ten wooden shipping pallets for firewood. It was thirty or so kids rocking out ( Read more... )

what you miss in the photos of the girls flying out of the party barge is that like john guiney, kevin also didn't spill his drink; but unlike guiney, he also caught the ladies in his free arm, so they weren't dashed to pieces in the rocky water.

i hope you have the rest of those photos in your blackmail folder. =)

Actually, the photo I have of Kevin's catch appears to be Kevin groping Kirsten while the other girl (sorry, don't remember her name) smacks into his shoulder face-first.

Didn't spill his drink though.

Moonrise over surf? anonymous July 21 2006, 00:57:10 UTC
Are you still on the West Coast? Sorry I missed it if you've moved. The moon mostly sets in the surf on the West Coast unless there is a very deeply convex bay on a southern facing part of the coast. Sounds great anyway. Whatever.

It rose just over the cliffs, maybe ten degrees east of the shoreline. It's a shallow bay facing south-southwest. Way to call me out, Nancy. =)

I'm still in sunny Simi Valley, a suburban nightmare of strip malls and housing developments. It's still a good place to get out of on weekends. And there's plenty of things worth seeing elsewhere in California, so I can't complain. I don't spend too many weekends here.

It's good to hear from you! If you get a chance you should definitely email me, bistromath(at)gmail.com. I'd love to catch up.
