december: month of awesome

I decided to make December awesome. This is how to do it:

• Yesterday I climbed Lone Pine Peak with John, at 12,933' the highest either of us have been. The Class 2 slog up a 1500' sand/scree chute was harder than just about any hike I've ever done. Imagine climbing a quarter-mile-high sand dune, populated with rocks from gravel to Volkswagen-sized,
