Like...physically dead as in it won't spin or makes bad noises, or OS/MFT/whatever crashed? 'Cause if it's the latter, I have some data recovery programs I could try on it...
If you haven't already, GET A BACKUP DRIVE. Time Machine is WIN.
In unrelated news, a couple weekends ago I was cleaning out my document dump folder and I found Serenade. This makes me want to sit down and read it again.
Dude! I have two backup drives. The one Leopard approves of has failed Time Machine backup every time. The other one is clearly a figment of my imagination since it doesn't show up in the finder (although mounts just fine on the lappy running 10.4) *grumble*
I would be very afraid to reread Serenade :) ...New York, city of a thousand dreams and a million nightmares...
