With three kids in school and one kid at work that just left one at home who still needed his afternoon nap. Ollie seemed very lost those first few days on his own. He’d wander around the house usually dragging a blanket or his bear and just constantly shrug. He was playing a game of hide and seek but his brothers were too well hidden for him to even find. Occasionally he’d ask where they were or at least that’s what Dean assumed he was asking about. He’d want to know about Ikey, Efen, Efan and Ikal, but they were all at school or work and he had no one to play with.

Sam and Dean played with him as much as they could until it was time for his afternoon nap and the house would get very quiet. While he was sleeping and no one else was home Dean saw no reason why they couldn’t also have a nap or at least head into the bedroom pretending to take a nap.

They didn’t just have sex, sometimes they talked and then had sex or talked while they had sex before dozing off for a half hour. As hard as it was to have four of the kids gone all day Dean found himself almost looking forward to a little one on one time with Sam and it had nothing to do with being on or under him most of the time. It was just nice to only deal with one kid and spending time sitting in bed and talking.

They talked about everything and in those first few days after school started again it was like they were in a whole new relationship, much like it was when Mikey was a baby and they were in that first little house with a budget and bills to worry about. Most of the time the discussion was about the babies and how quickly November would be upon them. Sometimes they talked about the rest of the kids and wondered how Ethan and Evan were doing in school.

It seemed like they had met their quota for hell raising on the first day and then quickly settled down. They still didn’t like their teacher but they no longer hated her. Ethan hadn’t even gotten his name on the board yet which was pretty good since Dean was certain they should just have it permanently etched in.

When they weren’t talking about the kids, they were talking about each other and being as flattering as they dared to be. Dean complimented Sam on his spectacular body and how he always smelled like a shower even after a lot of sweating. Sam complimented Dean on his love making skills and how he had the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen. It was a little over the top for both of them, but completely understandable give the circumstances.

One kid at home seemed like a wonderful waking dream, especially since that kid was Ollie. He was fine with just sitting on someone’s lap and maybe playing a game if the mood struck, but most of the time he just liked to watch to see what everyone else was doing. If Dean was reading his email Ollie was right there nodding along with him. When Sam swept the floor Ollie would help out by pointing out the things he missed. When they did things he couldn’t watch he happily went down for his nap without the need for a story, but he did usually require a few dozen kisses.

At the end of that first week Dean played with Ollie hard all morning to ensure that he’d sleep a little longer. It was Friday and they’d have a house full of kids for the weekend, so he wanted to spend some real quality time with Sam. They put Ollie to bed and then ran to their own bedroom and threw their clothes off in a frenzy trying to claw at each other.

They started off in the bedroom and them migrated into the hall, down the stairs, on the kitchen table and then back into the bedroom. They were having sex like teenagers again, fast, furious and as often as possible. It was very nice, especially because they had the whole house to themselves.

After they were done Dean fell forward onto the bed and let Sam collapse right on top of him. That felt even better, but then he had to ruin it all by rolling over and out making Dean frown. They could have had their nap but after that half hour Dean needed to recharge with an afternoon snack. They could still talk if Sam wanted to, but he needed some food or he was going to pass out. Ollie was still going to be sleeping about a half hour so if they ate quickly they could squeeze in at least twenty minutes before he woke up.

Dressed only each other’s inside out underwear they made it down the stairs with Dean on Sam’s back since he was too weak to walk and if he had been he’d be a little more bowlegged than usual. Sam had no problem carrying him because he liked to know he did a good job.

When they walked into the kitchen Dean hopped right off and then quickly grabbed a towel to cover himself and Sam grabbed another to wipe off his chest. Michael had come home from work early and was clearly dealing with an crisis of epic proportions. He had two spoons in his hands, one was dipping into a carton of ice cream and the other was in a jar of peanut butter. He stared at both of them for a second before he continued his gorging.

Usually it was one or the other, but both was something they had never seen before and Dean was very worried that something awful had happened for him to not only eat so much, but come home early from work which he never did.

“You okay?”

“Why you coverin’ up?”

“I’m in my underwear.”

“Which is no more revealing than a bathing suit. Is this what ya’ll do when none of my brothers are here ‘cept Ollie?”

“Um, this was the first time.” Sam said as he cleared his throat.

“Yeah, we don’t do this everyday as soon as he goes down for his nap.” Dean laughed. “What’s wrong?”

“I’m dumb as a stump is what’s wrong.” Michael sighed. “Dumb as a stump.”

Sam grabbed two spoons before they could sit down, eat, and listen. They were probably going to share some ice cream anyway and Michael’s had already softened up some. He gladly handed it over and dove further into his jar of peanut butter.

“You’re not dumb.” Dean said. “Tell us why you think that.”

“I kissed Derek.”

“Oh.”

“See, I’m dumb.”

“I thought he was…” Sam started.

“A broke straight boy? Well, not broke, but he is straight. I kissed him and then it was awkward. He didn’t kiss me back but he didn’t get upset or anything. We were joking around and I don’t know what came over me. I just kissed him up against the wall like a dumb stump.”

“On the mouth?” Dean asked.

“Yeah.”

“Tongue?” Sam asked.

“A lil’.” Michael sighed. “I ain’t never kissed someone before and the first time I do he didn’t do nothin’ back.”

“Why did you kiss him?” Dean asked.

“Because he’s really cute!” Michael said as he dropped his spoon. “He’s so cute and just kind of sexy and he’s a good dad and so smart. I just want to…”

“Go ahead.” Sam said. “We’re talking, we’re adults.”

“I want to do the stuff to him that Anthony want to do to grandpa.”

“Wow.” Dean said.

“Ya’ll ever see his ass? Like two cantaloupes.”

“He’s a little young for me.”

“It’s nicer than Anthony’s.” Michael whispered. “I just want to grab it and bite it.”

“Huh.” Sam nodded. “So…”

“I’m just real horny.” Michael sighed. “Tired of looking at that website with them broke straight boys and I’m upset that I’m almost nineteen and never been kissed back and I really like him, not just for making love.”

“Alright.” Dean said. “Calm down. I don’t think Derek is right for you because he’s not gay, okay? He’s great, totally great, but not gay.”

“I know.”

“Fine to be horny.” Dean said. “You’re a guy, that’s what you’re supposed to be, there’s nothing wrong with that. I’m horny all the time.”

“Me too.” Sam laughed.

“And we’re having sex, so it’s fine.

Sam felt so bad for him, since it was obviously he had a pretty significant crush on Derek. Bruce had told them that the straight crush was a rite of passage for any young gay man. His own crush was on a friend of Nick’s who would come over to their house drunk sometimes and spend the night. Bruce always spied on him in the shower and came very close to confessing his undying love or lust as it was, but he didn’t have the balls or any desire to get his ass kicked.

Anthony’s straight boy crush was John, which he told everyone would have been unbearable if he wasn’t in a relationship with Bruce. Michael’s was the saddest though because he deserved a great guy which Derek was, but a great heterosexual guy.

“You know Alex really likes you.”

“I can’t date him.”

“Why not?” Dean asked. “We love him, we love you and we want you to be happy.”

“Because when Bruce is better I’m going on a date with them and then I can’t just date their friend.”

“But maybe um.” Sam shrugged. “You could not go on a date with them and date Alex.”

“I don’t trust Alex like I trust them.”

“Yet.” Dean said. “If you did go on a date with Alex you could wait as long as you wanted to sleep with him.”

“I heard he slept with Kevin the night they met. He wouldn’t wait for me, I don’t think.”

“Okay.” Sam whispered. “Between us, Kevin? Not someone to base anything on. He’s a dick with a body attached, just a ball of hormones. Alex is like my dream man.”

“Hey!”

“Well, he is. He’s smart and funny, he has a steady job, his own house and he’s extremely nice.”

“Why don’t you just marry Alex!” Dean yelled.

“Because I don’t like his car.” Sam grinned.

“Ooh, that’s right. Listen, you make your own choices, but I’m telling you that Alex is a good guy. We trust him completely and he knows what you’ve been through, he’d wait forever.”

“And don’t feel bad about a lousy first kiss. First girl I kissed, I missed her mouth completely and licked her cheek.”

“Me too.” Dean laughed. “I got my tongue in her nose almost.”

“Wait, you two dated girls?”

“Um.”

“Uh…” Dean said as he looked away.

They hadn’t really told Michael much about their past before they supposedly met each other which included their brief forays into heterosexuality. He was staring at both of them waiting for an answer when Anthony came into the house carrying a bunch of grocery bags and plopped them down on the counter. He was supposed to be at home taking care of Bruce but they were driving each other crazy. Most of the time he plopped him in the tub and then got the hell out of there after a hand job. He loved him, but such close quarters all the time was a little much for anyone to handle.

“Underwear and ice cream? Is it my birthday?”

“Will you kiss me?”

“Huh?”

“Will you kiss me?” Michael asked again. “I kissed Derek and it was awful.”

“You kissed that straight boy?”

“Yes.” Michael sighed.

“Hot. Sam, I went to Aveda and they had your shampoo on sale and Dean I went to the grocery store and the popsicles were buy one get one free. Come on, Michael.”

Anthony held out his hand and Michael practically jumped out of his seat to run after him. They weren’t sure if they should have stopped him or said something, but even they wanted to the two of them left too quickly. If Michael was eventually going to sleep with Anthony there was no reason why he couldn’t kiss him since Bruce was willing to do anything to make everyone happy. He certainly wouldn’t care that Anthony had done something Michael wanted.

“Should I talk to Derek?” Dean whispered.

“Uh, I don’t think so. He’s really good friends with Michael, I’m sure he understands.”

“They’re just making out right, I meant they’re not…”

“No.” Anthony said as he walked back into the kitchen.

“That was quick.”

“Well, when you do it right.”

“Feel better?” Sam asked.

“Yeah.” Michael nodded. “I do. I’m gonna go take a nap before the kids get back from school.”

“Okay.” Dean smiled. “I’m sure they’ll be banging on your door in an hour or so.”

“Well, I hope so. Thanks, Anthony.”

“No problem.”

“And thanks for talkin’ to me, you guys.”

“Also no problem.” Sam said. “Have a good nap.”

Michael waved at them and then went right back out the back door after he grabbed his spoon and jar of peanut butter. He looked happy and that was all they were really concerned about. While Anthony put away the popsicles and a few other things he bought Sam pretended to read his bottle of shampoo and just waited for Dean to say something.

“Well?”

“What?”

“How was it?” Dean asked.

“You’ve made out with me, you know all about my skills.”

“Oh God, I forgot about that.”

“One generation to go.” Anthony laughed. “And how is grandpachester?”

“Fine.” Sam smiled. “We talked to him this morning. They were going antiquing.”

“Hey.” Anthony said as he sat down at the table. “Don’t you think it’s weird that Carol and him just took off? I mean I’ve rarely seen her take a break.”

“Well, it’s dad…” Dean started.

“Agreed, he’s completely wreckable, but it seemed really sudden that they’d just take a week off and they’ve been weird since Bruce got hit.”

“How so?” Sam asked.

“Very lovey dovey. Far be it for me to try and understand heterosexuals, but they seem more in love than ever. They both seem very very happy.”

“Yeah.” Dean nodded. “They are.”

“They’re cute.”

“Yeah.” Sam laughed. “That they are. How’s Bruce? Does he need a bath?”

“No, he’s still whacking off thinking about the last one Dean gave him. He’s good, actually he’s why I’m here. I need a favor.”

“Sure.” Sam said. “What?”

Anthony got up from where he was sitting to stand behind Dean. He winked at Sam and then started to roughly massage his shoulders. Dean groaned just once before he moaned and sighed. Anthony decided to kick it up a notch and rubbed his hands across his bare chest and even went down to his stomach.

“Dean?”

“Yeah.”

“You’re so hot.” Anthony whispered. “Sam is so lucky to have you.”

“Yeah, he is.”

“You smell nice too.”

“I was making love earlier.”

Anthony brought his nose to the top of Dean’s head and inhaled before he started to rub his chest a little harder. Sam just sat back and crossed his arms over his own chest to see just how big of a favor Anthony was about to ask for.

“You know when Bruce tops, I pretend it’s you.”

“Everyone does.” Dean moaned. “That feels nice.”

“Inside me.” Anthony whispered. “Will you do me a favor?”

“Anything.” Dean sighed. “Get lost Sammy.”

“I want him to watch.” Anthony said as he pressed his lips against Dean’s ear. “I want him to see everything.”

“I want to.” Sam nodded.

“I need you to do me a favor.”

“Tell me.” Dean whispered. “Anything. I’m so into you right now.”

“I see that. I want you to take Bruce for Boy’s Night Out.”

“Get off of me!” Dean yelled as he stood up and grabbed another towel to cover himself. “You’ve misrepresented yourself!”

“I’m sorry if you misconstrued what was happening.”

“I thought we were going to hit that!” Dean said. “Wait, if you and Bruce and Michael…that means we’ll never get to…Aw.”

“I told you that.” Sam sighed.

“I thought you were just being mean. Anyway, absolutely not.”

“Why not!” Anthony yelled. “He’s been stuck in the house and I’m auditioning for a play tonight, I need someone to…”

“Woah!” Sam said as he stood up. “You’re auditioning for a play?”

“I am auditioning for the role of Danny Zuko and I’d appreciate if you kept your comments…”

“Ha!” Dean yelled. “Ah!”

Dean started laughing and he couldn’t stop. He was laughing so hard that he got a fairly severe cramp in his abdomen and even that didn’t make him stop laughing. Sam only laughed for a second before he punched Dean in the arm and went to comfort Anthony who didn’t look very happy. He looked like he was very close to crying which made Sam sad.

“Oh shit.” Dean said. “I’m sorry, I thought you were joking.”

“You’re an ass!”

“Well I guess now I have to take Bruce with us.”

“Why does Bruce get to go and I never do?” Sam asked.

“Boys night out.” Dean said. “For boys only. Just me and my boys.”

“You mean Alex.”

“Well, me and my boy. Anthony, you’re really auditioning for a role in Grease?”

“Yes. I always wanted to and this is my last chance before I’m a professional daddy.”

“I’m sorry I laughed.” Dean said. “Want to look at my boner?”

“I want you to be nice to me! You’re taking Bruce out and letting him be a boy.”

“I’m a boy.” Sam frowned.

“Sammy, all I ask is that you let me go out with my best friend once every few weeks. That gives us time away from each other and that’s good.”

Sam didn’t know what the hell Alex and Dean did when they went out. Every time he asked it was just beer and ESPN. The first time he went Sam said nothing, but then they went out a few more times and he hinted that he might like to go expecting Dean to cave and invite him but he refused. They had originally intended to include Bruce but then Alex was gone all summer. When he came back Bruce was under house arrest with his broken bones and bruises. Sam really wanted to go just to see what the hell was going on.

“I’ll take him.”

“And I’ll audition for my play.”

“I’ll…” Sam sighed. “I’ll stay home with the kids and maybe find a new dress, maybe cook a pot roast and try on fancy hats.”

“Aw, Sammy.”

“You think I’m the girl.”

“I have never in my life ever said or thought that.”

“Bruce told me…”Anthony started.

“That I never ever said that if he wants to get out of the house.”

“Right.” Anthony nodded. “Sam, you can come to my audition. Michael can watch the kids.”

“No, it’s okay. I think the two of us should have a boy’s night out.”

“Excellent idea.” Dean nodded. “Oh! I hear oinking upstairs. Bean’s is up!”

Dean ran out of the kitchen leaving Sam and Anthony alone. Anthony was also very interested in what the hell Dean and Alex were doing together and luckily Bruce had absolutely no will power and would give them a first hand account.

“You touch him like that again and I’ll kill you.”

“Aw. Come on, you next.”

“No, I don’t like that.” Sam said. “Not unless he’s doing it.”

“You are covered in sex sauce.” Anthony said as he wiped his finger across Sam’s stomach. “What are you two perverts doing while the kids aren’t here.”

“We’re doing sex and plenty of it.”

“Ah, well, good for you.”

“What can I say,” Sam sighed. “I’m hopelessly devoted…”

“Sam.”

“But now!” Sam sang “There’s nowhere to hide!”

“I’m leaving.”

“But you’re the one that I want!”

“Screw you!” Anthony yelled as he grabbed his keys and walked out the kitchen.

“Bye, Zuko.”

Anthony extended his middle finger and walked right out of the house ready to start the long road to becoming a superstar. He should have stayed because he almost got to hear Dean walking down the stairs singing “You’re The One That I Want.” to Ollie who was thrilled that he was still his daddy’s number one boy instead of that kiss ass Mr. Watkins.

Boy’s night out was just that. It was a night out for Dean and his boy, or boys as it happened to be once Anthony conned an invitation for Bruce. Dean did want him there, but he certainly didn’t trust that he wouldn’t go limping home and tell Anthony everything who would in turn tell Sam and boy’s night would be effectively ruined. It wasn’t that Dean wanted to get away from Sam and the kids, it was just that every once and a while he needed to be a real guy and so did Alex. It’d probably do Bruce a world of good as well, since he took a little too much bullshit from Anthony.

Of course as soon as they arrived at their destination Bruce got scared and asked to sit in the car because if Anthony found out where they went he would strike him, possibly with a frying pan and he was already pretty hurt. After Alex promised to protect him and help him if he had to pee Bruce gave in and the three of them walked into boys night where they stuck out like three gay sore thumbs. At least they would have if Alex and Dean hadn’t already done a little acting and encouraged Bruce to do the same.

“Tiffany!” Dean laughed.

“Well look who’s here!”

“I like your breasts!” Bruce yelled. “They’re really nice, not too big.”

“Dude.” Alex muttered. “We said to play straight, not be a douchebag.”

“I’m nervous.”

“Tiffany, this is my little brother Bruce.” Dean smiled. “Bruce, this is Tiffany, the one I was telling you about.”

“Aw, honey, what happened to you?”

“I was um, checking out chicks and got hit by a cab. I was squirrel chasing.”

“Well, welcome to Hooter’s.”

As they were lead to their table Dean went over the list of rules imperative for a successful boy’s night. It was short, but if any of those rules were broken Bruce would not only lost their respect but they’d kick him. First and foremost, there was to be no discussion of husbands, boyfriends, or the lack thereof. They weren’t there to talk about other boys, they were there to forget about them for a few hours and let them do their own thing whether that was spending some time with the children or auditioning for a play.

They also weren’t allowed to discuss their jobs. Dean wasn’t going to talk about books or movies and Alex wasn’t going to discuss school. Bruce agreed that since he hadn’t been able to start his job due to the accident he wouldn’t have a problem following that rule.

As hard as it was Dean also decided that kids were also banned from the table. No talking about kids already born, on the way or waiting to be sent down from the clouds. That was the hardest rule for him to follow because he loved talking about all his amazing kids and listening to Bruce talk about his baby.

After the discussion rules were in place they got right down to talking about the boy’s night games. Number one on the list was the belching contest which Dean always won since out of all of them he was the realest boy at the table. That was when Bruce started to get nervous because Anthony didn’t like rudeness. Dean punched him and gave him a demerit for breaking one of the very first rules he put into effect. No husbands, since they were bad for business.

The other game they played was “Hit on a chick until she give you her phone number or a blowjob.” Alex always won that one since for some reason no one took Dean’s flirting seriously. Alex had never actually gotten a blowjob, but he did have a rather impressive collection of cocktail napkins from girls with huge tits.

After Dean laid out all the rules he ordered himself fifty wings in extra spicy, Alex got his own fifty, while Bruce ordered a garden salad with fat free dressing on the side.

“He’ll have wings.” Dean sighed. “Three beers.”

“Light beer?” The waitress asked.

“Hell no.” Dean said. “Real beer.”

“I’m on medication.” Bruce whispered. “I’ll have iced tea.”

“Dean.” Alex whispered. “Why’d you bring this chode to Boy’s night?”

“His old lady made out with my son and then gave me a boner, I had to.”

“So, three orders of wings, two real beers and an iced tea?”

“Yes.” Dean nodded. “Thanks.”

“Yeah, thanks baby.” Alex winked. “When’s your break?”

The waitress ignored him and then walked right away from the table. He’d get her eventually, since Alex was much better at wooing the opposite sex after he got a little beer in him. He’d have her waiting in the bathroom in no time.

“So.” Dean said.

“Yeah.” Alex nodded.

“Yep.” Bruce said. “Yep.”

“Okay.” Dean sighed. “I want to marry Ollie.”

“I think Ethan and Evan’s teacher is hitting on me even though I’m clearly a homosexual.”

“And I want to get fucked really hard.” Bruce sad with a frown. “Just fucking pounded like a drum!”

“Fifteen seconds.” Dean said as he looked at his watch. “That’s a new record!”

They did have rules, but they were rarely followed. None of them could be expected to not talk about the things that mattered most, it was inevitable. All they had to do was figure out who had the biggest problem. Clearly Dean couldn’t marry Ollie until he figured out a way to get rid of Sam, so he decided to ignore his own issues. That left Alex and Bruce who both seemed to have rather serious problems.

“You go first.” Alex said. “You want me to fuck you?”

“No! I want Anthony to and we can’t seem to manage it in my current state. I mean he can get in there, but it’s not the way I like it.”

“Which is like a drum?” Dean laughed.

“Exactly, just really hard and he’s growling and pulling my hair, you know like…”

“Sam.” Dean nodded. “Yes.”

“I can’t get my leg in a position that’s comfortable and when I’m on my side it hurts too much. I’m actually tired of getting head. Me! I’m tired of getting head and four fingers isn’t a dick.’

Boy’s night was completely awesome, because they were in a place currently occupied by adults and they could say whatever the hell they wanted without worrying about little ears overhearing them. Poor Bruce looked so upset and defeated like his accident had taken away a major part of his life. Dean was really worried because he couldn’t imagine anyone being tired of getting head from Anthony who had learned from Sam and had to be as spectacular as he was.

“You’ll be better soon.” Alex smiled. “Hey, what if I come over and hold your legs up in the air?”

“He tried that it hurts too much. Anyway, that bitch is into you?”

“I’m pretty sure!”

“Well, you can’t have sex with her, I mean she already has that stick up her ass.” Dean nodded. “No room.”

“In the morning before the kids get there she’s always around when I’m trying to fix my coffee and her free period is the same as mine and she’s always talking to me. I’m like “Bitch, I know I’m delicious, but your girly bits freak me out.””

“Have you ever been with a woman?” Dean asked.

“No, but I assume the worst.” Alex said before the waitress came over with their drinks. “So, I’ve got this chick on her knees and she’s slobbering all over my cock. “Yeah bitch, suck my massive cock, bitch. Suck it like a Hoover!””

“Yeah?” Dean laughed.

“Oh dude, she was begging for it, so I flipped her over and just got some lube and stuck her.”

“You don’t need lube when you have sex with girls.” Bruce said. “I thought the same thing, but they make their own.”

Bruce was never getting invited to boy’s night again. He wasn’t playing along like he should have and running everyone’s fun. The waitress wasn’t really buying it anyway. She rolled her eyes at Alex and then walked away again without paying them any mind at all.

“You astound me with all the ways you suck.” Alex said as he hit him. “I wanted to do her.”

“You’re a bottom and she doesn’t…”

“I am versatile!”

“So is a mop but I sure as hell don’t sweep with one.”

“You bitch!” Alex yelled. “I should pound that tight little ass right now.”

“Guys.” Dean sighed. “Straight guys don’t say stuff like that to each other.”

“Straight guys don’t use so much product in their hair either.”

“Oh!” Dean scoffed. “You’re one to talk. You pluck your eyebrows.”

“I wax them!” Alex yelled. “You shave your chest.”

“Sam shaves my chest!” Dean yelled back. “I’ll show you, I’ll show you right the hell now.”

Dean grabbed his mug of beer and chugged the whole damn thing. He was going to show both of them how boy’s night out was supposed to go down. They weren’t supposed to be talking about pounding each others asses or waxing their eyebrows. They were supposed to be straight guys for just one night.

When he belched he really let it out and got the attention of the few people sitting around them. It went on for at least twenty seconds until Alex started clapping and Bruce frowned into his ice tea.

“Yeah!” Dean yelled. “This is why I’m hot.”

“Congratulations.” Bruce said holding up his tea. “After three years you’ve successfully destroyed my boner for you.”

“Huh?”

“That was repugnant.”

“That’s what we do on boy’s night!”

“Act like gross straight guys?” Bruce asked. “I’m still unclear as to why.”

“Because straight guys act like us when they go out.” Alex nodded. “I think.”

“You said they did.” Dean sighed. “They don’t, do they?”

“Um.” Bruce laughed. “I can’t imagine a group of straight guys go to Prada and act gay for fun.”

“Oh.”

“And Sam would be ashamed of you.”

“Yeah.” Dean frowned. “Alex made me do it.”

“Is that true Alex?”

“Kinda.”

With that their old boy’s night ended, but then a brand new one began where they weren’t trying to out burp each other or see how could score the most poon. If they weren’t being straight guys anymore, Dean saw no reason why he couldn’t invite Sam along for a next one. He missed him so much whenever they weren’t together. Boy’s night was supposed to be fun, but the more he thought about Sam at home the sadder he got. He meant it when he said that time apart usually did them good, but the time apart was rough.

“He’s thinking about Sam.” Alex whispered.

“When is he not?”

They were both right, Sam was constantly on his mind. Every now and then he’d forget about the kids for a second, but Sam was always there just sort of standing around and smiling at him. He was so amazing that Dean just wanted to throw some money on the table and run back home to his arms, where he belonged.

“You okay?” Bruce asked. “Dean?”

“Yeah, I just, I miss him.”

“I miss Anthony.”

“I miss…” Alex paused. “Well, huh.”

“What?” Dean asked.

“Got nobody to miss.”

“Will you do me a favor?”

“Sure.”

“Ask Michael out. He’s never going to ask you, if you like him, ask him out. I think you both deserve someone.”

“He’s too young.”

“Do you want to ask him out?” Dean asked.

“It’s like this.” Alex sighed. “You know those guys that you just want to hold? Like the first time I saw him he seemed like someone I wanted to hug. Not even about sex, like I saw him and just wanted…”

“To hold him.” Dean smiled. “Just to hold him.”

“Dean?”

Alex got up from where he was sitting to sit next to him while Dean just kept shaking his head. All he ever wanted to do was hold Sam and every time he wasn’t it actually hurt. Even if he was holding on of the kids it wasn’t the same because they couldn’t hold him back in the same way.

“Hey.” Alex whispered. “What’s going on?”

“I went to see Sam at school like a month before we got together. I broke into his apartment because I thought it would be funny. He almost kicked my ass, you two get to see how strong his is but you’ve never really seen it, you know? I was all out of breath from fighting and then the light came on and I was out of breath just from looking at him. He’s amazing.”

“He is.” Bruce smiled.

“I just wanted to grab him and run, I wanted to just keep running and holding on. Even just his hand, those hands they’re so big, bigger than they should be. I love him so much.”

Dean didn’t know what the hell was wrong with him. It had to be all the flattery they had been through during their afternoon talks. Sam complimented him like no one ever would with the words of a poet, just amazing words falling from his mouth.

“You know what?”

“What?”

“I think that my husband is auditioning for a play and Alex’s future husband is at home with yours. How about the two of us watch the kids and you two have a night out?”

“I could spend some time with Michael.”

“It’s boy’s night though.”

“Dean.” Bruce laughed. “All your boys are at home.”

Dean pulled some cash out of his wallet and threw it on the table. Boy’s night was over, but they could always have another that he was going to made damn sure to invite Sam to. Alex hoisted Bruce up onto Dean’s back so they could all run out of the restaurant and back to the car. He plopped Bruce in the back and then tore out of the parking lot before Alex even had his door closed. He had to get home to Sam just to see him and maybe go for a walk, anything, they didn’t even have to have sex or talk, as long as they were next to each other that was all that mattered.

When they got home a few minutes later the music was pumping out from the basement and he found Sam and all the kids dancing around with flashlights. They were having their own little boy’s night in.

Alex helped Bruce down the stairs and then joined in the party so Dean could grab Sam and pull him away.

“Why are you back so early?”

“I missed you, Sammy.”

“You did?” Sam smiled. “I thought it was…”

“So did I. I just missed you too much to have any fun.”

“I missed you too, are you okay?”

“I am now.”

Dean kissed him and then kneeled down so all the kids could run into his arms. He missed them too, and it felt great to have four of them hugging him at once while the fifth stood back and waited.

“Daddy, we’re dancing.” Ethan laughed. “Daddy said he would dance with us.”

“And he did and it was so good.” Evan smiled.

“Are you okay daddy?” Mikey asked. “Were you crying?”

“A little.”

“But, you’re happy now?”

“How can I not be.” Dean whispered. “I love you guys.”

“Love you.” Ollie said. “Daddy.”

“You’re so cute. Can you guys play with Alex and Bruce for a while? I want to talk to daddy.”

“We can.” Mikey nodded. “Mr. Watkins is a good dancer.”

“Okay.”

“You okay?” Michael asked as he hugged him.

“Yeah, just missed you guys.” Dean said before whispering. “I think you might have a date tonight.”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah.” Dean smiled. “Be yourself, he really likes you.”

“Okay.”

“Don’t be nervous.”

“Okay.” Michael said again.

Dean nodded and then took Sam’s hand to lead him up the stairs and out the back door. He held on as tight as he wanted to and if it was uncomfortable Sam didn’t say anything. They walked in silence until they were all the way at the edge of the property where Dean had only been once or twice. He was on his four wheeler just making a round to see how long it took to circle their own private part of the world.

The moon was up and Dean kept his eyes on it until he couldn’t wait any longer and turned to look at Sam’s face. The same face that he had been staring at his whole life that looked brand new once Dean realized just how much he loved him. It wasn’t just the conversation with Alex and Bruce, it was Sam’s indiscretion and the accident, getting Mary back and a week where they only had Ollie in the house. Everything snowballed until Dean really looked hard and realized what he had around him.

“Talk to me.”

“I love you, Sam. I just love you so fucking much. I was at Hooter’s and being stupid with those two and I just started thinking about you, I had to see you. Sometimes I feel like I’m going to pop because of what I feel for you and our kids. Sometimes I want to pop, you know?”

“No.”

“I don’t make sense. I’m sort of a fool in love.”

“My fool then.” Sam smiled. “I love you too. I hope you didn’t feel like you needed to come home because I wanted to go with you.”

“No, I just missed you. Sometimes if you turn around while you’re cooking I miss you. You’re right here, I’m holding your hand and I still miss you, Sammy.”

“Now that I get.”

“Do you?” Dean asked. “If you don’t miss me like that…”

“Hey, don’t cry, Dean.”

“I’m sorry.”

“Come on, sit down with me.”

Dean had been very emotional since he became a father, but the waves pouring off of him were something Sam hadn’t really felt before. It didn’t seem like he was sad, he was just finally overflowing and letting it all out in one surge, just like Sam had, luckily their perfect house and perfect garden were still standing as they fell into the grass and Sam held on to him.

“I love you.” Sam whispered. “Everything about you. I love that of all places you went to hooters and even right now you’re probably worrying about Alex and Michael.”

“I like the wings and I am.”

“Let’s do something.”

“Sex?”

“Sorta.”

Sam reached over and broke off some huge sprigs of rosemary. It grew like a weed in the garden and ballooned out so big everyone had trouble believing it was real. They were long springs, some of them almost two feet that smelled incredible and were just what Sam needed.

He laid them out to form one disjointed and lopsided circle all around them. He wanted a little fence of fragrance so they could be the only two people in the world. Dean knew what he was doing and helped out by placing the last few sprigs on either side of him with one at his back.

“Okay, for the next,” Sam said as he looked at his watch. “For the next hour, everything outside the rosemary is taken care of. The kids are having a great time. Alex and Michael are talking, Anthony is singing his heart out and Bruce feels just fine. Dad and…”

“Mom.”

“They’re having dinner in Vermont and Amy and Auden are watching a movie. Everyone is fine and it’s just the two of us for the next hour.”

“You’re really smart.” Dean laughed.

“I had a good teacher. What do you want to talk about?”

“Everything, nothing.”

“We can do that.”

“Will you lean against me?”

“Yeah.”

Sam shifted his body until his back was against Dean’s chest. He felt so comfortable and safer than he ever had in his whole life. They never did talk about anything and the hour was up long before they realized it. Dean still got his boy’s night out with the first boy he loved while all the others were just fine outside their circle of rosemary.

“Sammy.” Dean said as he pulled him up. “Let’s go to Paris.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, when dad and Carol get back, let’s just go for a week.”

“You’d go without seeing the kids for a week?” Sam asked.

“Yeah.” Dean laughed. “I don’t want to, but…”

“Let’s go to Paris tonight.” Sam smiled. “I’m going to run an errand and then we’ll go.”

“Really?” Dean said. “Tonight?”

“Yeah, tonight.”

While Sam ran his late night errand Dean went back inside and got the kids ready for bed. They had to have a bath since they were all danced out, but luckily he could still fit all of them into the tub. He lined them up biggest to smallest with Mikey in the back and Ollie splashing away at the front of the line.

Since they had spent some time with Sam they were more than happy to spend some time with him. Bruce had gone home and Alex and Michael were still in the basement talking to each other. When Dean came in from inside they were sitting next to each other on the sofa talking like old friends. It made his heart grow a little bigger which seemed impossible after his quiet time alone with Sam.

Kevin was convenient for Alex, but there was a very good chance that Michael was perfect for him. Maybe they were even soul mates, only time would tell. If they did start dating they might eventually get married and Dean would lose another best friend, but he’d gain a family member which wouldn’t be so bad. Alex needed a real family, and he deserved the best, just like Michael.

“Daddy, you are very pensive tonight.”

“How do you know that word?” Dean laughed.

“I asked Mr. Watkins and he told me. Michael really likes him.”

“Yeah?”

“Oh yeah.” Mikey nodded. “A lot.”

“Why doesn’t Michael take a bath with us?” Evan asked. “No room?”

“That’s right, he’s too big. He likes a shower anyway.”

“I like a shower.” Ethan nodded. “Ollie won’t pee in the water.”

“Pee.” Ollie laughed. “Pee pee.”

As soon as he said it he started to pee like he did pretty much every time he got in warm water. The rest of the kids stood up right away but he stayed seated and slapped the surface of the water while he giggled. Dean had to stand him up and rinse him off again but he didn’t mind. He was up past his bedtime and it was starting to take it’s toll. While Mikey got the twins ready for bed, Dean dried and dressed Ollie before tucking him into his crib and giving him a kiss.

Then he tucked Ethan and Evan into Mikey’s bed and read them all a story. Sleepovers were their Friday night tradition where they’d stay in one bed taking turns hugging on each other and Apple Juice who had come to fear Friday night since he got squeezed fairly often. A full day at school and full night of dancing caught up to them and then went right to sleep after a few yawns and a few more kisses.

Dean could have taken his own shower, but instead he decided to maybe clean the kitchen or spy on Alex and Michael in the basement. Of course he could spy on his friends, but he could never spy on his kids, so he ended up in the kitchen which was already clean and had been transformed in just a half hour.

Sam had done a rather spectacular job at bringing Paris to their house. He bought croissants, éclairs and a whole armful of baguettes. He had a tray overflowing with petis four and madelines all for Dean and he had even purchased a book about the Louvre and a French guidebook so they could see the sites. To complete the illusion he even drew on a thin moustache and had a scarf on, which made Dean laughed and wonder where his beret was.

“Couldn’t find one.” Sam smiled.

“How did you get all this stuff so quickly?”

“Ah, mon frère, when you’re John Michaels the whole world is your oyster. I called the patisserie on the way to the bookstore and told them I needed some help taking my un mari to Paris.”

“You sound like the chef that tries to cook Sebastian.”

“He he he, haw haw haw.”

“God, I love you.” Dean laughed. “Les Poissons?”

“How I love Les Poissons!”

“Crazy.” Dean smiled. “Is this Paris?”

“Oui. We have pastries, baguettes and front row seats to all the hot spots. We can tour the city and eat at the same time and the kids are right upstairs.”

“Sounds like a plan.”

“Come on, first stop, the Louvre.”

Dean laughed again and then grabbed the tray of éclairs before he joined Sam at the kitchen table. A Paris vacation would have been incredible, but from the safety of the kitchen it was even better. Sam could always do stuff like that and bring it all together very quickly.

They strolled down the halls of the Louvre hand in hand looking at all the masterpieces. Dean saw the Mona Lisa up close and personal and because he was such a big deal they got to touch Venus De Milo in all it’s rough hewn glory. The pages of the book got a little sticky, but Sam didn’t care. He got his French vacation and still would be able to sleep in his own bed.

They went to all the landmarks with the croissants in hand. It was amazing and the weather was just perfect. Paris was a city where the whole would could go to fall in love and they got to do just that while sitting at the kitchen table laughing and smiling.

“This is what I was talking about.” Alex whispered.

“I see what you mean.” Michael said.

They both looked up and realized that they had been caught in the middle of their vacation but it didn’t really matter, if Michael and Alex had gone through the trouble of flying all the way to Paris they needed to at least talk to them for a few minutes.

“We’re in Paris.” Dean smiled. “What are you two doing here?”

“Well, uh.” Alex laughed. “I was coming to see if it was okay if Michael and I went to dinner tomorrow, but clearly you’re both busy.”

“In Paris.” Michael said. “Wow, it’s nice here.”

“This is Paris, son.” Dean told him. “This is where we buy your underwear from.”

“Explains why I always feel so fancy.”

At the mention of underwear Michael blushed a little which was just about the cutest thing Dean had seen since Ollie’s naked butt in the tub. He could have made a joke about him blushing, but he decided instead to be a dad and not embarrass him any further.

“Dinner?”

“If it’s okay.” Alex said. “I wanted to ask your permission.”

“We.” Michael coughed.

“We wanted to ask your permission.”

“Well…” Dean started.

“What do you do for a living, Alex?” Sam asked.

“I, uh, teach. I’m a teacher.”

“So you’re not a doctor?”

“No.” Alex shook his head. “I’m not.”

“But you’re a professor.” Dean nodded. “At a university?”

“I teach elementary school.” Alex sighed. “I really don’t feel like you two should…”

“Uh uh uh.” Dean said shaking his head. “We’ll ask the questions. What are your intentions with our son?”

“I thought I’d buy him dinner.”

“And?” Sam asked.

“Bring him home right afterwards.”

“And?” Dean asked.

“God.” Alex sighed. “Marry him within the next few months, move into the barn and take turns having babies for the next twenty years.”

Michael turned so red Dean was sure steam was about to start shooting out of his ears. They were both completely fine with dinner and anything else that happened, but if they saw an opportunity for a little ball busting they’d have to take it.

When Dean asked for a little privacy Michael nodded and then went back to the basement so they could talk to Alex alone. He looked very nervous, but he had no reason to be because Dean had already given his blessing. Now that he had actually asked they both needed to lay down some more rules about dating their son and dating Michael.

“Please don’t threaten my life. You need me to pretend to teach Mikey.”

“We’re not going to threaten…” Sam paused and looked over at Dean. “I’m not going to threaten you.”

“Me neither.” Dean laughed. “Until he comes home with a hickey.”

“I don’t really suck on guy’s necks.”

“Good, now, listen.” Dean sighed. “We’re fine with this, but, he’s had it rough, it’s been…”

“He told me.”

“He did?” Sam asked.

“Well, I knew most of what happened, but he let me know. Even if these awful things hadn’t happened I’d still treat this with the utmost respect. I like him and he’s your son. I’m your friend and I want to always be your friend. Jokes aside, I’d really like to show him how it could be.”

“Alex…”

“No, Dean, let me finish. Um, I want to make sure you both know that I don’t have some thing for younger guys. I mean I met Kevin and figured I could have a little fun and the truth is I had more fun for two hours in the basement then I did a year with him. I haven’t felt that comfortable since Justin was alive.”

“Done?” Dean smiled.

“Yeah.”

“You’ve got my vote.” Sam nodded.

“Mine too. I think I know exactly what you mean about feeling comfortable. You don’t even care if you do have that kind of fun with him, do you?”

“No, sir.” Alex smiled. “He’s incredible, and kind. He completely ignored me when any of the kids were talking to him. That’s the kind of man I want. Family first.”

“You might be our family one day.” Sam said. “Son in law, brother in law to the kids.”

“I’d like a family.”

“Why are you so upset?” Dean asked.

Alex looked like he was about to cry. He had to have known they’d be fine with him and Michael since Dean had told him to ask. As soon as Dean asked why Alex did start to cry. It wasn’t sad though, it was happiness over finding someone like Michael, someone who wouldn’t hurt him and would never get hurt because he had Dean as a father.

“He’s just so nice, and he reminds me of Justin.”

“How so?” Sam asked.

“He’s so strong. Smart too. As hard as his life has been he made me feel safe. I never really do, you know? I’m always worried about something even if it’s stupid shit like remembering to pay the water bill or if I left the tea kettle on. I felt safe and I didn’t worry.”

“I know what you mean.” Sam said as he looked at Dean.

“I told him that he’s lucky, because whoever he ends up with, they’ll get to play follow the leaders. John and Carol, Anthony and Bruce, they have these amazing relationships with each other because they’re right next door to you two. I know it’s not always perfect, but it’s pretty damn close.”

“Thank you, Alex.” Dean smiled. “You show him the time of his life.”

“And we’ll all still be cool?”

“Yes.” Sam nodded. “Just take it slow.”

“I will.”

“Can I ask you something?”

“Of course.”

“Why’d you sleep with Kevin as soon as you met him?” Dean asked. “I’m not judging either of you, I’m just curious.”

“I wanted to fuck.”

“Oh.”

“He wanted to fuck.”

“Uh, alright.” Dean nodded. “Fair enough.”

“I am never going to do that with Michael though.” Alex sighed. “When he’s ready, when we’re ready it won’t be fucking.”

“That’s what I wanted to hear.” Dean laughed.

The way Alex talked about it made it seem like he wanted a chance to teach another of their kids. It would still be years before he actually taught Mikey anything he didn’t already know. He could teach him the things kids went to school to learn like science and math, but he was going to teach Michael about love.

Obviously Dean never wanted to think about them having sex, but they would eventually and Alex would go about it in the most respectful way possible. He’d teach him everything about sex, love and relationships and no doubt make Michael happy in the process. That was all Dean wanted for any of the kids and he knew Sam felt the same.

The ended up talking to him for a few more minutes before he decided to call it a night. They let him get Michael from the basement and then waited while they said goodbye to each other. They both wanted to spy more than anything but they were holding each other down and just waiting for Michael to walk back into the kitchen. Sam wanted to know how they’d say goodnight and he figured it out when Michael walked towards them softly touching his cheek and turning a whole new shade of red.

“He kissed me.”

“Yeah?” Sam smiled.

“On my cheek. Never been kissed and when I do I get three kisses in one day.”

“You might get five before the day is over.” Dean laughed.

“Well, in that case, I’ve had nine today!” Michael said. “Too bad grandpa isn’t here, I could go for ten.”

“He’ll be back soon. Do you want to talk?” Sam asked.

“Yeah, I wanna make sure ya’ll didn’t tell him to ask me out. Well, I figure you did but he did because he really wanted to.”

“I did.” Dean nodded. “And he does. He said some very nice things about you.”

“Can I say nice things about him?”

“Go for it.” Sam laughed.

“He smells so nice and he’s sort of…”

“Incredibly sexy?” Dean asked.

“Agreed.” Sam nodded.

“Yes! Really smart and he loves you two. He loves the kids and he’s very nice. He even held my hand.”

“Woah!” Dean said. “Slow it down a little. You may hold his hand after the third date.”

“Uh…”

“Kiss after the fifth, sleepover after five weeks and then sex after you’re twenty-one.”

“That’s over two years away!” Michael laughed.

“Oh, you misunderstood, I meant twenty-one years from now.”

“Dean,” Sam laughed. “All our kids will have sex eventually.”

“Except Ollie.”

“Why not Ollie?” Michael asked.

“Because he won’t have sex in front of me and I’m never letting him out of my sight. When he’s eighteen we’re going to get married. He’s sort of my life partner.”

When Sam cleared his throat Dean looked over and shrugged. He may have loved him so much that he cried in the middle of Hooter’s and then went on an impromptu Parisian vacation but he was no Ollie.

“What?”

“I loved you first.”

“He loves me more.”

“Dad.” Michael sighed. “Maybe by the time Ollie is ready to date you’ll be ready. We can get some good practice in tomorrow, because I have a date.”

“I just…”

“A date with a guy and he’s taking me to dinner and he’s going to pay I bet.”

“If you…”

“And maybe we’ll go for a walk afterwards and get some ice cream or somethin’.”

“You’ve interrupted me twice, so now you’re grounded and there will be no dating of Mr. Watkins. Sam, take away his keys and his credit card.”

“Ignore him.” Sam smiled. “He’s delirious from jetlag. We flew all the way to Paris.”

“And I think maybe I won’t go on a date with Anthony and Bruce. I really want to, but I’m worried about it affecting our friendship. Maybe the first guy I sleep with will be my last.”

“That’s the way to do it.” Sam said as he nudged Dean. “You’re making very good decisions.”

“Except for kissing straight boys.”

“Oh, he won’t care.” Dean said. “You probably saved him from doing the same thing to someone else.”

“You think?”

“You’re his friend.” Dean shrugged. “I’m sure he understands why you did it. Derek’s great, just talk to him on Monday and sort of clear the air.”

“Yeah.” Michael nodded. “Now Alex told me about boy’s night.”

“Whatever he said is a lie.”

“Let me guess.” Sam laughed. “You two went out and pretended to be straight guys and probably had a farting contest and tried to pick up chicks.”

“Burping.” Dean sighed. “It’s supposed to be fun, but none of the chicks ever take me seriously. Alex is cuter.”

“He wishes.” Michael laughed. “You ever think that maybe the chicks don’t take you seriously because you’re famous and they know you come home to dad?”

“Oh.”

Dean never even considered that. He just assumed everyone always flirted back with Alex because he was prettier, but they did it because he was a no good commoner and not one of the most recognizable ruggedly handsome faces in Westport.

“I think you’re cuter.” Sam whispered.

“Yeah?”

“Mmhmm.”

“Hey.” Michael said looking at the table. “What are these chocolate things?”

“Éclairs.” Sam told him. “You don’t know what éclairs are?”

“What is it, like a doughnut? Can I have one?”

“Go for it.” Dean laughed.

Michel smiled at both of them and then picked one up and practically shoved it in his mouth. He looked happier than ever as all that butter, chocolate, and cream danced on his tongue. He even moaned which made both of them sit up a little straighter and pull the plate away from him.

“Dang. We sure know how to live.”

“You like it?” Sam asked.

“Mmhmm. I’m gonna take another one and head back to the barn.”

“Okay, goodnight.”

“Night Michael.”

After he wiped off his mouth he took turns kissing both of them on top of their head before skipping through the garden holding on to his éclair and already dreaming of how amazing his first date with Alex was going to be.

“So.”

“Yes?”

“Trying to pick up chicks?”

“Maybe.” Dean said raising an eyebrow.

“And burping?”

“It’s was Alex’s idea. He’s so immature.”

“I bet. You enjoying Paris?”

“Absolutely Sammy, this is our best vacation yet.”

“Good.”

Sam kissed his cheek and then got under the table without saying anything. Dean looked around panicked for a second before he shrugged and grabbed one of the éclairs so he could eat while Sam proved him wrong yet again. It was the best vacation they had ever had, but he needed to make it a little better.

“La Fellatio.” Dean told the éclair. “Oh, la la.”
