Djinn plot.
Castiel and I are running a little mini-plot involving a djinn. If you've never seen the Supernatural episode with the djinn-it's season two, "What is and What Should Never Be (2x20)-here's a little explanation of what goes on:
Basically, Dean goes after the djinn, the djinn freaks out and puts Dean under a spell, entering him into this alternate dream!world where he's a decent, but assholish guy, Sam's with Jessica, their mother is alive, and so forth. It seems to be a perfect world, but isn't. Dean realizes that, some stuff goes down, meaningful episode ends.
Now! We're going to make a spin on that, because it wouldn't be so interesting in a camp setting. Castiel and I will be running a post with a djinn who will be affecting and influencing people. The djinn will go all shimmery blue light hand on your character (screencap of this here), and they will suddenly be in an AU verse of ... their life. In the show, the djinn completely rewrote their lives, to make it seemingly happy, and we're thinking it might be fun to do a similar thing. Only now your characters have these perfect lives, think they're actually from them, and are in camp.
While the plot is going on, your character will effectively be an illusion of themselves (but it'll be over all of camp) and while that's going on, their BODY will be actually ... be somewhere else, in an abandoned cabin, with the djinn who is chilling out there and drinking your characters' blood. The djinn will keep them weak but alive to continue the illusion. At the end of this, the djinn will die, and your characters will be feeling kind of shitty and will need some time to recover.
This will be like a normal camp mini-plot! It'll last like four to five days (unless people ask for more).
- Two posts for people to get djinn'd. I keep weird hours, but I might ask Dean if she's willing to do one for the middle of the night folk.
- One post just for general activity.
- One post for killing the djinn.
As another note, just handwave your character coming to camp and skip that part of things. We think it'd be interesting if the characters thought they'd been in camp for a while, as the djinn would play into that.
