I agree with your reasoning. Reality shows twist their subjects anyway--directors demand that their "non-actors" create drama that s/he wants to show, etc etc. It really does take things out of your hands. And the kind of people who end up committing to these sorts of things end up being not so fun people to hang around with, I'd think.

Maybe one day you guys will get to take that honeymoon. I agree with Ricky, and with you. Too many people make too much of a wedding, when you're right - it's about sharing your moment with people you care about. Not that I know anything about weddings. But I've been to many of them by now (and have been a bridesmaid WAY too many times).
I second that opinion. Just get somebody to walk around with a video camera and if something really funny happens, then send it in to America's Funniest Home Videos and win some honeymoon money through them.
This is entirely unrelated to your comment... It's more pointing out that the book in your icon makes me happy- not only because it's actually a pretty neat book, but also because it's one of the titles produced by one the imprints of the publishing company I work for. Very awesome.
