R.I.P. (X 2)

Last night at work, I found myself at the 24-hour vet again, sobbing over yet another cat that had been struck by a car and left for dead. Her spinal cord was badly damaged; her lower half was completely dead. I brought her in and held her while the drugs helped her slip away, and I tried (and failed) not to cry ( Read more... )

You DID do an excellent job.
It's just that the odds were stacked against you from the start.
In both cases, the one you got a recommendation for and the one that went by unnoticed by your higher-ups.

I second, third, fourth, fifth (you get the idea) the sentiments above. YOU did an amazing job even getting that child a chance. You gave his parents a chance to say GOODBYE (which is even more valuable).

And I love you for taking care of the "lesser" creatures as well. People think that if they treat humans well, they are doing right. You treat all of the animals equally, feline and human especially.

Princess may not have had a good life. She may have had an awesome life. But at least she didn't suffer any more than she had to leaving it. YOU did that.

THANK YOU!!!! You are a wonderful decent REAL person. I am honored to know the piece of you that you share on LJ. I am positive that the rest of you would blow me away.
