Its something me and my mum always regreted that my Grandma did not get to die with dignity. At 90 we had to move in with her because she kept having 'funny turns', we acted as her carers. I was only 17 and I was doing some of the most important exams you can take in the UK (A Levels, the equivalent to the SATs in the USA, to get myself into university) and because of this my grandma decided she would go into a nursing home. She was only there for a month before she had a massive heart attack and was taken to hospital. She was there for two weeks before they decided they where going to send her home and on the day they where going to release her she had a huge heart attack and stroke. While she had been in hospital her DNR (do not recusitate) hadn't been passed on when she moved from one ward to another and so they recusitated her. She was in a coma for a day and even though they said she wouldn't wake up she did (She was from the Falls Road in Belfast, they made hard women there).
