‎1010 WINS announced that one of the second-place lottery winners was from Forest Hills, Queens. I strode in confidently with my $1 Quick Pick and smiled knowingly when the cashier said, "Congratulations! You won!" The guy next to me said, "Really? Are you going to quit your job?"

I winked at him as the cashier handed me my $7 prize and said, "

First off: congrats on your marriage, becoming a Medic, and your $7 lottery win.

In 2005 I began following "Neurotically Yours". Through Jonathan Ian Mather's awesome webtoon, in 2006, your band's music came to my attention. That year I bought your first CD, Bleed from CDBaby.com. I loved it. For about a year I followed your Live Journal because I found it fascinating, funny, intelligent, inspiring and heroic.

Life happens, and I lost track of your Journal for six years, up until two days ago when I thought to myself, "I wonder whatever happened to DM....?"

So for the next week or so, I'll be trying to catch up on 6 years worth of your journals, and listeing to any new music your band has put online since 2006.

I've never been to NYC, and plan to go someday. Knowing that there are Paramedics like you out there looking out for the people will be reassuring.

Again, congrats on your marrige!
