the whole story breaks my heart. look at his face! you can tell he's hurting, that something is wrong just from his face - how could you just let him sit in there like that and not have it wreck you?

I can't believe in situations like this vets won't automatically do something to help even if it means for free. I know if that was my profession I wouldn't be insisting on payment at the cost of an animal suffering. :( I hope they get the money FAST.

I know some vets do lots and lots of free work, like the vet that worked on the dog I fostered that's now my parent's beloved kay dog! kerrick is probably quite right - medical stuff is so expensive, especially when you get into surgery!

Oh yeah, I can see why. It's just sad to me that everything comes down to money when suffering's involved.

I hope they get the money and that dog gets adopted by a great family. These stories really upset me.

yeah, I'm glad someone took him out of there and is trying to get him all better! ...and hopefully I can help raise some of that money!

crap! did you find the donate button? it's down this page a wee bit. thank you so much! it makes me feel good knowing how many people want to help a dog that they'll never get to meet. I'm sent them an email, because going to try to volunteer for them - maybe I'll get to meet him!

of course I'll donate next time there's more than $2 in my account.

just a thought here, I wonder if they've called around the country to vet schools?
dunno if you are familiar with the story of Dudley:
http://www.pasadosafehaven.org/RESCUES/DUDLEY/Dudley.htm

it's a neat story, there are more like it where they've shipped animals pretty long distances to get the kind of care they need.

I'm going to stop trying to type and spell now. kthxbai.

that one gets to me, too - look at that sweet face! I wish I were wealthy.

and yes, I have FOUR dollars in my account right now, but luckily I get paid tomorrow. I'm also filling out the form to volunteer for this rescue so maybe I can help a bit more than just spreading the word.
