I've read The Time Machine years ago (even seen the 1960 film). Fascinating. I also wonder if our modern languages will be intact or evolve to new ones.

They would change over time. Look at the difference between old English and modern English. Or even the difference between the type of English spoken in the 30's to what was spoken in the 80's to what is spoken today. Now times that by 1,000 years.... I think if the internet keeps going the way it is there will be even more words from other languages that are incorporated into the English language. Maybe we will just get to the point where there is only one language with many different dialects?

Hehehe, if you were a Morlock you would toil underground all the time.
Hands down I would rather be an Eloi. Good thing though my genes will never know this fate as I refuse to contribute them to the future of society.
