I agree 100% with the author of this article as he states precisely why I don't bother with new games these days.
Diablo 3 does look awesome, though. As long as there's no monthly charge I'd love to give it a shot. I used to be addicted to D2 - and probably still could be, if I had someone to play with. But will anyone play D3 with me? ;P

I have some friends that are getting D3 as well, so I might end up with it just to keep up with the crowd. We'll see :O In any case, a lot of games coming out are trying to do in-game advertisements instead of having monthly fees. That, I don't mind, if they do it right. Like modern-setting games can have in-game billboards and product placements and such.
