Not at all.
He's like a celebrity and who doesn't want to see the Pope.
He's like the President .. but of the Roman Catholic faith.
He is the visible head of the Catholic Church.
Jesus deemed Peter the first Pope & he was to have successors..
& our job as Christians is to worship him.
Yea, he isn't God but the Holy Spirit speaks through him.
He's the closest you can be to touching God..
