As far as what causes homosexuality, I'm not sure. I think it's part nurture, but mostly nature. I've read several studies, specifically one involving rats, that tested animal mothers during pregnancy by putting one group through extreme overcrowding conditions, one through extreme stress, and a control group. The control group had optimal liveing conditions for a laboratory/captive setting. Both the group of mothers under extreme stress and the mothers in extreme overcrowding produced offspring with homosexual bahvior. There was another study that followed the children of women (I believe in England) whose husbands were off at war during WWII and their children had an abnormally high rate of reported homosexuality when compared to (I think) women whose husbands had not been off at war. And these translate to me personally. My mother wasn't supposed to be able to conceive and my father was very sick for a large chunck of his life.
