The Whole Package

**Basics**
Name: Lauren
The Significance Of Your Username: I find it quite stupid now but it's part of a lyric from a Korn song. I made this journal over 1-2years ago. I still like Korn, I just think this username is dumb but I don't feel like changing it now.
Gender: Female.
Age: 17.
Location: NJ.
Sexual Preference: Straight.
Martial Status (Pictures?): Taken by Brian, so far we've been together for 15 months =] I wish I could post one of my prom photos, I think we look cute in them but my scanner isn't cooperating =/

Zodiac Sign: Virgo.
Religion: Catholic.
Nationality: Irish, Italian, German, English, & Puerto Rican to be specific, but when someone asks I usually just say American.
Piercings/ Tattoos (Pictures?): I didn't take any photos showing off the fact that I have 3 ear piercings because I don't think it's a big deal really. I'm still trying to decide what kind of tattoo I want-I don't want to rush into it and get something stupid or something off the wall.

**Favs**
Try to keep answers to five or fewer.
Movie: Suicide Club, Demonic Toys, Driller Killer, & Night of the Living Dead.
Actor/Actress:
Actor: Stuart Townsend, I suppose. I'm not big on celebrities.
Actress: Mila Jovovich, I think she's so gorgeous and she always plays a pretty kickass character.
Band/Solo Artist: Korn, APC, Buck-tick, Within Temptation, and Vixen.
Element: Water...I just love swimming and rain.
Swearword: Eh I don't curse all that much anymore-fuckbag.
Book: Battle Royale! I think the movie doesn't compare at all, but I guess that is usually the case.
Place: I'm big on feeling comfortable so my boyfriend's basement. He has really comfy couches and we can relax down there, play some videogames or just cuddle (=
Time of Day: 9PM, I usually have the most energy at that point and even on really hot days, it seems to get nice and cool. I like taking walks around town either by myself or with one other person.
Season: Fall, I love the weather and the scent of the air.
Fetish: Oh boy, visual kei guys >.>; For those of you who don't know, it's basically a Japanese fashion trend that is often displayed by J-rockers. I think it's dead sexy.

**Opinions (Choose at least three!)**
Gay Rights: I doubt I'm the most informed on this but I have a strong opinion on it. I believe homosexuals should have every right as straight people do. It isn't about love, but more so about the fact that they're still american [if in this country] citizens and their sexuality should have nothing to do with their constitutional rights. I'm pretty sure homosexuality is mostly a religious conflict and if such is the case than it shouldn't have any grounds to take away rights because there isn't supposed to be any religion-based laws. Classifications such as race, sexual preference, gender, etc should have nothing to do with what rights a person has or does not have.
Abortion: I hate saying I'm "for" abortion, pro-choice doesn't make me feel any better though. I would never get one, no matter what my circumstances were. However, in certain cases I'd understand the desire to have one. I don't just mean rape either, I'm also talking about people who could potentially harm the baby if she goes on with the pregnancy or delivers the baby. There have been instances where babies were found in garbage cans, or women took lots of drugs or drank alot of alcohol and seriously harmed the baby while it was inside them. Every one thinks adoption is an instant solution but there are still women who end up killing their babies after they're born. Lastly, adoption homes are overpacked with children who need parents. Those children deserve homes too, filling the adoption homes with babies will only keep other children there longer. I would never say "go ahead, get an abortion" to anyone but I do understand that it sometimes is the best choice unfortunately enough.
Legalization of Marijuana: I don't think it should be legalized because it will be a problem either way. If we legalize it, the government would probably want to set high prices on it and it might just lead to alot of thefts and fights over it. We would have to set a legal age which would probably cause problems as well, it would probably be a huge mess in the end. Alcohol and ciggs. are enough as is, no reason to bring drugs into it as well.
Teenage Drinking:
Religion:
Separation of Church and State:
Animal Rights:
Death Penalty:
Plastic Surgery: I'm perfectly fine with it and I see nothing wrong with wanting to change yourself if it is you who wants that change and not someone's influence on you. Some people need the confidence boost and if changing a physical attribute would help them, then so be it. To each his/her own. I don't think I would ever get plastic surgery though. I went back and forth with it for a while but I've realized the things I want to change just require some working out and a little less empanada consumption >.>.

Affirmative Action:

**Random And Vital**
Have you ever watched porn? What’s you’re opinion on the pornography industry?: Yes, I have watched porn. Gay porn to be honest. It was a while ago. I am not against the pornography industry, it's a business and obviously people are willing to work for it. I have a friend that wants to be a porn star and I guess if you want to do it as a career, it's your choice and you have the right to. I think it's horrible that some people take the jobs because they need the money desperately, and I really think it's sick when underage people are put in it. I don't know what else to say really, sorry for my scattered answer.
Do you believe in ‘Love at First Sight’?: Not at all. It's too shallow in my opinion. Any one can look good on the outside and be horrible on the inside. Any one can look what you'd think would be great for you and turn out to be the farthest thing from right for you. Same for the flip side-anyone could look really bad and be a wonderful person, or look like someone you'd have no interest in when you'd really have a connection with them.
Have you ever thought that someone would be ‘Just Perfect’ for you, based on looks alone?: Nope. Looks are never enough.
Pick one song lyric that describes you: This means one or two lines, not a whole fucking song! I have a really bad headache right now but I guess this would work, mind you its specifically these lines-the whole song might be in time though ;]
I've got everything, more than I ever dreamed
I love my life
I thank God for all I have-"I love my life" by Jamie O'Neal
Pick a song lyric that describes how you’re feeling right now: I'm graduating on the 28th and I'm going to be living away from home, so Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Free Bird" is how I currently feel. These lines specifically: "Well I'm as free as a bird now,
And a bird you can not change."-I feel like I'm finally breaking away from all the high school drama and immaturity and I won't ever have to see the people who annoyed me again, thus making me feel "free." People constantly tried to change who I was in high school as well, so that would be the second part of it. Whether it be my parents, my friends, my "enemies"-every one had some comment or suggestion as to who I should be.
When taking a stance in an argument or political issue, do you usually use your own instinct or examine the facts closely?: Both because I don't think you could argue something well if you don't have your own passion about it to begin with. I think you should always research something if you want to go into a serious debate about it but you really need to back up what you're saying by showing that you feel strongly about it too. You can't just present facts.
Make an observation about life: I'd like to go with a quote for this one, "When it is dark enough, you can see the stars." You can make a couple of interpertations on that, but it describes how I feel about life perfectly.
Do you believe in the “an eye for an eye” way of revenge?: Haha, I lived by that for the last 3years but my views have changed. I believe in karma now, heh. I don't feel like seeking revenge on anyone because if I dislike someone I usually find that showing them any kind of emotion is a waste of my energy. I'd rather focus on the people I love, and give them my all.
One word that sums up who you are: Lately, happy really describes me. I'm enjoying my life so much and I think it shows in person a lot.
What is your ‘guilty pleasure’ CD?: Sadly enough, the Queen of the Damned Soundtrack. Can't say the movie was the best but I do love the soundtrack.
If you died today, would you be happy with what you did in life?: I'd be content, not happy. There are so many things I want to achieve before I die and so far all I've really done was be a decent person to my friends and family. I haven't accomplished anything major and I haven't changed anything too big. As I said, I love my life (don't get me wrong) but there are a lot of things I want to do.
Does saying, “I’m sorry,” really mean anything?: Only if the person truly means it and intends on fixing whatever they did wrong. There are many cases when the issue can't be fixed but sometimes people make bad choices and they learn from them. I would never hold a grudge if I thought the person really learned their lesson and would make sure not to repeat the same mistake. Even if we're talking something really huge-like a drunk driving accident where someone I loved was killed...if the driver intended on never drinking again because of the damage it caused, then I would forgive the person and be thankful that it changed someone for the better.
What is your definition of reality?: Playdough. No matter what you're given, you can always turn it into something better. Reality is what you make it to be. There will always be instances when things you haven't planned occur and misfortunes happen, but there is always a way to shape it up.
FPRIVATE "TYPE=PICT;ALT=" sugarkissx asks: What are 5 of your most random obsessions?

02. Cutesy stuff-tokidoki bags, gloomy bears, FRUiTS fashion

04. Thunderstorms-I love walking around or sitting out on my porch and watching the rain fall. Especially while in my bf's arms, heh.

What question do you think should be on the application? Answer it: "What do you want do with your future?" I want to be an amazing child's psychologist.
