lots of robins looking for worms under the leaves
either a downy or hairy woodpecker- wasn't close enough to be able to tell the difference (downy woodpecker is smaller overall, has shorter beak).

Spotted another raptor today, this time on 84 going back to Westside. Honestly the highway is one of the best places to spot raptors, especially in winter. They usually perch on the lightposts or in trees right on the edge of the highway- especially red-tailed hawks. Sleeping Giant.

yellow trail: hawk flying down the mountain carrying (I think) a small bird. another hawk (red tail) being mobbed by 3-4 crows.

tower trail: large turkey vulture cruising really close on the wind, just past the Giant's head, over a small ridge. another vulture flying just slightly above the tower at the top.

Most stressful night of my life. I went to pick up some pictures last night (that didn't even get developed because I'm a fucking moron and loaded the film wrong I think) and went back to aunt Carol's to get Joey.
