[For anyone interested, there are massive pawprints circling the village.  And you may notice that some of the older prints actually trail through the village, perhaps when no one is around at that point.

But should you follow the fresh trail, you'll find Moro roaming, stalking, watching luceti from uphill, her predatory eyes glaring hatefully at ( Read more... )

[Ammy will make her way to Moro... slowly. Even she knows not to poke a giant set of sharp teeth when the owner isn't in the mood.]

[Oh, but you're a god. A god higher on the scale, actually, so your presence is welcome, however surprising that is. She seems to visibly calm, even if her body language is very subtle.]

...Amaterasu.

[Well, at least she isn't growling or attempting to bite. With a bow of her head, Amaterasu gets close enough to stand beside Moro and look down at the village with her. Even if the meaning behind their actions are different - one gazes down with hate while the other does so in compassion - Ammy still feels a sort of camaraderie with her.]

...Keep these children of yours out of trouble and I will have no need to start killing them.

Though you understand that they will never earn my trust again.

[She lets out what seems to be a mix between a whine and a groan. Just like Moro said: they're children, especially to the two of them, and while Ammy does her best to keep an eye on them, she can't keep everyone out of trouble despite how much she'd like to. But she nods and looks up at Moro. She understands that last part, too.]

...I am but your child, as well. If you have a will for me, then I will follow it.

[She stares for another moment, then lowers her head to look at the village again.

...It's too complicated to stay quiet. She gives a little sigh, and an ethereal, yet soothing voice comes out of her.]

This land and the spirits that dwell within it are precious. The life of the forest, the sky, the earth, the humans that walk along it, the animals... and beings such as our own. It is your duty to protect your forest... as it is mine to watch over all life as the goddess of the sun.

Most of these people are gentle and kind, young and with a free spirit. It is a joy to run among them. Their desires are not to bring destruction to this forest or to cause you pain... Although their fiery nature can sometimes seem that way.

I only ask that you keep those thoughts close to your heart and to your mind. I cannot bend the very nature of another god simply by saying a word. I refuse to let that be my way. In return, I will watch over this forest and care for it with all the strength that I can muster.

I'm going to bed, see you later :> biteoffherhead November 7 2009, 09:27:14 UTC
[For once, Moro seems rather happy.]

I am a mere guardian god. And it is my duty to serve the gods higher than I. I have restrained myself on merit of caution, but I will hold my fangs if you see it fit.

[That earns a wolfish-smile from Ammy, and her tail starts to wag too. She's pretty happy about hearing that. Of course, she won't expect Moro to hold herself back if the situation was dire, but it's good to hear that she won't attack out of mistrust.]

[After a short while, she looks over the town once more, this time with less rage and more bitterness.]

...The state of things here reminds me of before humans created guns.

...Aroo?

[She's never heard of "guns" before...]

Are there no guns in your world?

[She chuckles bitterly.]

Perhaps that's why you aren't aware of my precise hatred for those disgusting animals.

They destroyed the forest of the gods and pulled out the earth, forging the iron into weapons called guns. The guns spit fire, and chunks of iron... even now, a human bullet lies within my ribcage and rattles my bones. That Eboshi woman - the damned woman who led the humans - would turn such a revolting thing against the Forest Spirit - the god of life himself!

[At this point she's so loud and furious that her blood-curdling snarling nearly drowned out her voice.]

The boar tribe will march to their death, the head of the forest spirit will be cut off, and all will die - should any humans survive they will turn their guns against other humans, like the savage beasts they are.
