Do I want to go to Emory (in Atlanta) with a half-tuition music merit scholarship (meaning that I will have to play the oboe all four years to get the scholarship), or to Northwestern and JUST study English and not oboe, but pay 47,000 a year ( Read more... )

That's a hard choice, I think you should flip a coin and let Raffi, the one true God, decide for you. That's also a lot of dollar signs! Chicago is neat, but so is the south. Just think about all the great writers that came from the south, maybe there's something in the water? Anyways, I think the important thing is that you be in the movie Robby and I are making (that way we can also see you before we leave to our new and secret home, thousands of miles away).

well.....what writers besides Faulkner have come from the South? There's Gilchrist too I guess, but she's weird. I think I like Chicago better in any case, but do I want to be in that much debt?

Of course I will be in the movie. I would be honored, because I"m a fame whore.

Mark Twain, Robert Penn Warren, Tennessee Williams, and Thomas Wolfe (different from present day writer Tom Wolfe) spring immediately to mind. The prospect of being in debt terrifies me. I would constantly feel like I was wrapped in poisonous snakes. Chicago seems like a nice place, but I can't say because I've never been there. I've been to outisde Atlanta, but I was 12 at the time, and that's too far back for me to remember. I remember it was pretty, though. You will be called about when we are shooting in the near future!
