Ho Ho Ho.

Angie  and I have been talking about a dog for some time now, and last November, we decided the time was right.  This is Sophie, our newest family member.   Emma and Angie wanted to  name her DeeOhGee, but once we got her home, the personality didn't exactly fit.

And despite Gulfie's insistence, we did not name her Ein.

Squeeee! I have to show this to my friend Jo. She has corgis, and they are lovely. Is she a pembroke or a cardigan? Either way, congrats!

Thanks! She's a pembroke. We went for the smaller of the two, being city folk with a small yard. She's a doll so far, and great at waking up Emma. (Who can resist the attack of infinite doggie licks?)

Adorable! How is Max handling it?

As well as can be expected. They have an uneasy truce set up. Sophie will give Max a two-foot clearance at all times, and Max will refrain from swiping at her. Although yesterday, they actually touched noses sniffing each other, so maybe they'll get more friendly.

Max still had the high ground, both figuratively and literally. He's definitely higher in the pack structure, so it's going to be up to him to offer the olive branch. (Or space on the couch, as the case may be.)
