Seriously. So the only option I have to watch movies I legally buy on the projector I own at home is to rip them first? How is this helping to stop people from copying and ripping movies?
DRM content needs to be shunned by consumers, or stuff like this will continue to happen. I'm sure you've read XKCD's view on the subject. This is one of many reasons I only buy freely usable MP3s or CDs for my music needs.
Blu-Ray is another bugaboo of mine. HD-DVD was a superior format, but as some article I read said, Blu-Ray winning out was like VCD winning over laserdisc: it just doesn't matter. This format won't displace DVDs because there's no compelling reason to switch. It's the next format that will really matter.
