I suspected something was amiss when Nat and I tried to make our usual visit to the Humane Society.  We go down once a month or so, leave 5 or 10 dollars in the donation box, and then tour to look at the animals.  No, we weren't there to adopt, but it was a great learning opportunity.  Nat and I would talk about what a committment an animal is, how ( Read more... )

Natalie and I stood on the sidewalk and waved to a bunch of about 60 motorcycles that went by.  As they passed us, I noticed the Hell's Angels inscriptions on the back of their leather jackets. 

On Thursday and Friday morning, I woke up to the most lovely Irish lilt coming from out my bedroom window.  Now some of you know that I live on the fourth floor and as such, it's not usual for me to hear anything but birds from my room (and occasionally the neighbours below screaming at each other) let alone a sexy Irish Man-Voice.

This is so wrong.  Yet I laughed so hard I peed just a little. 

Natalie and I watched the inaugaration together.  I bawled my eyes out and she stared and laughed at me.  Watching this whole thing on CNN has been so moving.  I like this guy.  And it's so exciting to be watching history be made.

I really wish that Canadians could get as hyper excited about our own politics.
