Good catch, Bruce!
I've always wondered a bit about the Bagel/Pork combos, from Burger King to Bruegger's. Growing up in the American Midwest I observed that most of my practicing Jewish friends and acquaintances chose a Reform rather than Orthodox approach with respect to their observance of Kosher dietary laws.
I'm a lot less sure on the how observance of Halal dietary and food handling laws might affect the Midwestern diet; It concerns me a little since I've spent most of my working life in food and beverage!
The French are in the thick of it, and I wish them well; This will be an issue here in the future, no question in my mind, as we have already experienced a number of instances in which Midwestern cultural norms didn't pass muster with respect to Shariah law: Alcohol in taxicabs being the issue most frequently-cited of late.

You could get one with Ham, Bacon or Sausage.
Jesus wouldn't be able eat any of that.
