Well today was Mother's day here. The day when children worldwide honour the Mums. It didn't go so well.... The day started with a very early wake up call. "Mum? Are you awake yet? Is it time for presents? When will you be awake for presents?" Repeat every five minutes for about an hour

Sounds like a pretty happy flock of little offsprings who just LOVE their Mum!
Oddly enough, I was always kind of happy that right before we got married, my parents retired and moved 2000 km south to Florida and MJ's dad got a job transfer which took that family to Denver, about 2500 km west. They had all previously lived within 5 km of my house. I always thought that that bunch of outlaws inlaws would have been a little too much for a new marriage or future childrearing. Luckily, when we needed it, one or another would usually be able to get here in an emergency or for very special occasions.
Your home sounds like a noisy and joyous place filled with love and laughter. It will be quiet soon enough. Enjoy the wonderment and noise and mess while you can!

empty the dustpan, poison the moth,
hang out the washing and butter the bread,
sew on a button and make up a bed.
Where is the mother whose house is so shocking?
She's up in the nursery, blissfully rocking.
Oh, I've grown as shiftless as Little Boy Blue
(lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).
Dishes are waiting and bills are past due
(pat-a-cake, darling, and peek, peekaboo).
The shopping's not done and there's nothing for stew
and out in the yard there's a hullabaloo
but I'm playing Kanga and this is my Roo.
Look! Aren't her eyes the most wonderful hue?
(lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).
The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow,
for children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep.
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.
