The pounding on the door was coming from a spot... lower than where a teenage triplet would be able to knock, and was promptly (immediately) followed by the bell being pushed over and over and over and--

"DA!!!!!!!!!!! Open uppppppppppp! I know you're home 'cause it's time for food!"

Oh dear god.

Jack opened the door to see a ball of hair and energy standing there.

"I'm here," he acknowledged. "And I suppose there's no chance you're looking for Josh, or Ronan, or ... anyone who isn't me?"

He doubted it. He wasn't that lucky.

Jack thought he knew, but it wasn't as though Emma were the only blonde woman he'd ever known! Maybe the kid was Kar- oh dear god he hoped he was Emma's.
