all this week i've had a reeeeeally sore throat, and been so hoarse that i can't sing, at all. so, yesterday i went to the doctors.

i have tonsilitus.
fail.

as some of you probably know, i'm supposed to audition to song in front of the school for this thing called an eisteddfod in a month. i should be fine for it, but a teacher needs to hear me sing

Have you tried the grossest remedy of all? Gargling with salt water? My parents swear that it helps a bit with a sore throat, but I've never done it.

What I find helps a little with the pain is gargling with an alcohol based mouthwash (like Listerine). It stings a little, but you get some relief.

i don't think i could...i had to do it when i had teeth out to help heal and dissolve the stitches. *gags* i'll try listerine in a bit. :) thanks a lot.
