Wow, this is my first ever Uglies fic (it's been years since I've read the series) and it was awesome. I think it describes Shay and Tally's relationship perfectly.

The second to last scene totally reminded me of the song "Kiss With A Fist" by Florence And The Machine.

I really enjoyed this. :D

This was really well done and functions as a good summary of what happens in the books. I wasn't sure at first which person Tally was (I did remember the name) but by the end of the story, I remembered. I think the femslash and female bonding aspects of this work really well for these characters, and the fighting fits the characters at that point in their evolution and relationship.

I just re-read the series recently, and I've always wanted some Shay/Tally. This was excellent, just what I needed.

Yay! Tally/Shay! There isn't nearly enough Uglies slash.

That said, this fic is beautifully written. The Specials scenes and the one afterwards are the most striking to me. I like how each section fits the theme of the group that Shay is at the time: the exploratory feel of the sections in Uglies, the glittery, all-for-show kiss during Pretties, and the dark violence of the Specials section.
