A couple of days ago I finished reading Jean Plaidy’s Rose Without a Thorn, a historical novel about Katherine Howard (5th wife of Henry VIII-beheaded) and I’ve just started Cornelia Funke’s Inkdeath, the 3rd and final novel in her Inkworld trilogy. A friend of mine has been urging me to read the Inkworld trilogy for some time, but it has proved so hard to find a copy of the books here. I am determined that I shall sometime, though.

I think your moral unease over fanfiction because of the book is a pretty sincere compliment to the book and author. Thought provokingly good, I can appreciate that in a novel series.

So far I've really liked the Inkworld trilogy. It has some really good writing and ideas, especially if you have anything of the bibliophile in you. And it is very though provoking. I'd highly recommend it.
