I’ve got a job interview at a bank on Tuesday. I’d love it if I were to get a job because I just got a bunch of money from cashing out my Whole Foods 401K plan so if I did have a steady income on the horizon it would be an excuse to buy nice Christmas gifts for my whole family (because I’ve been working low paying McJob I haven’t been able to go ( Read more... )

Oooh, good luck with the job interview!

So what do you think of Criminal Minds so far? BTW, I got the name of one of the comms wrong; it's criminalxminds, not criminal_minds,

Thanks. I'm hoping for the best with the job interview. Even part-time would be great at this point. I've still only seen less than a dozen episodes of Criminal Minds thus far but I do like it. I saw an excellent episode with John Lithgow as a serial killer last night and also the last 15 minutes of the episode where Ried was kidnapped, drugged and tortured by Dawson from Dawson's Creek than made to dig his own grave before he finally shoots the guy. I also saw the first episode afterward where he seems to being displaying post-traumatic stress and just starting to flirt with the idea of using the drugs he took from his kidnappers body. Very intense both of these. I also saw the first episode without Mandy Patankin. It seems really good so far. I actually wrote my first bit of fiction in the fandom, a little strung-out Reid drabble for slashthedrabble because I read on-line that he gets sucked into drug use and I'm always interested in addiction.

Thanks so much, I hope I pull it off through I'm nervous. I know that for any job I apply for probably 10 other people with better social skills are also applying.

Thanks so much. I'm hoping for the best. I've been "between jobs" since 09/17/09 and while I'm enjoying it (way too much) I do think it's high time I got back to work.

I've been going to the church where my father preaches, so far it's been a really positive experiance. He's changed a lot since I was a teenager (the last time I regularly attended his services). He's not nearly so judgmental as he used to be-- I'll always remember and cringe when I remember how my father did a service about denial based on the scripture that "man can't live on bread alone" when I was more or less dying of anorexia in 1995... Now though he's aware of people and what they've gone through. It's really an amazing transformation ( ... )

My wife and I looked for Mindwinter Graces at the music store today, but couldn't find it.

I actually downloaded it via livejournal. Really good album. I especially like her original song "Pink and Glitter" and her cover of "O Come Emmanuel" which is one of my all time favorite Christmas songs.
