I tried the eggplant once and, sadly, wasn't thrilled.

When I was a kid, there was one awful year where, every Friday, my mom and stepdad fed my liver and beets. That's how I came to realize my stepdad hated me.

I will admit I like the way the eggplant looks (it's shiny and purple) rather than how it tastes. My sister and I used to joke that it was our totem vegetable and in all honesty it does taste good with cheese and tomato sauce.
