walking to school
So today, instead of waiting 20 minutes for the bus - since I was early/late to the bus stop - I walked. It took about 20-30 minutes, but that's 20-30 minutes more exercise than I would have gotten. I wasn't late, and the bus didn't pass me by while I was walking. All in all, a good thing.

Thesis is in
So after some minor tweaks to my thesis, I printed it out and handed it in today. 70 pages including the title, TOC, etc.... and in the end around 21076.
Now the waiting begins. -

I'm on my way to drop this sucker off with my advisor, so she can do one final read through, tell me what else I need to include and send me on my merry way - to printing out 3 copies and handing them in on Friday.

Thesis Update
Posting this to keep me honest - and since I'm in the home stretch, I need a bit of motivation. I'm at a point where I need to read through everything myself in detail to make sure that not only is my argument addressing everything I say I'm going to address, but that what I'm saying makes sense. Latest count 13,426 Words - 46 Pages. Total written today 1,365 words. My goal was 1000. I could have written more if it wasn't for those damn kids....no really students are a pain in the butt.

Writing Update
Informing other people about my progress helps keep me working so....
My draft - including table of contents and bibliography - is currently 11,186 words and 39 pages. I haven't written the conclusion, or finished the revisions/drafts of the 2nd and 3rd Chapters. The goal is to finish those by Thursday, give them to my advisor, and continue working ( Read more... ) -
The Thesis
I have to say, I'm really enjoying the reading and the writing that goes along with my thesis, but I'm finding it difficult to incorporate some of the theory that I need to. I think, in part, this is because I'm not really well versed in psychoanalytic theory but perhaps that's my fault for picking a topic that required me to look at it. Oh well ( Read more... )
