Not sure what to do.

I don't know if anyone can give me advice here, so this may just be some venting. I know I haven't posted. But lately, I've gotten a review or two that seems more than a little frustrated that I haven't finished a story. I understand that. One of my absolutely favorite stories (non-Buffy fandom) is never updated unless the author gets enough Paypal ( Read more... )

*hugs* first.
My 5 cents? I'd rather have the unfinished story that I have enjoyed, stay.
If you know what you get into you don't have to complain about it as a reader. Maybe you could do a disclaimer that the stories are on hiatus / last updated YYYY MM etc.?

But that's just me, my 5 cents. The decision, in the end, is yours.

Well, I just watched my computer die a painful death, and I'm typing this from my phone. So, it is now out of my hands, I guess. I have no means to get another computer. At least all my writing is on an external drive.

Oh no, that really, really sucks.
I hope at last your external drive is okay.

*double hug*

I would agree about prefering WIP over no story at all any day. Sometimes I wish person would outline farther story line but then I always have my imagination. And sometime I would right "I wish it would be finished one day" as way to show it was great, and it touched me deeply. I believe there are people to whom it might mean something

PS: mistakes might dew to perso being foreigner and not only young :) Take care. you are great and I am thankfull for experience and pleasure you work brought me!

I just tripped across your LJ via your old BTVS fanfic Angelfire site, and though I'm coming pretty late to this party I'd like to lobby in favor of leaving up the WIPs, with maybe some kind of caveat to readers telling them that the stories are likely to remain unfinished. Speaking as a reader of fanfic, I'd rather have the WIP I love than no story at all. In the case of things where you took them down to rework, you might even consider re-posting the original version. I hope that this helps, and that things are going better for you than they were at the time of your original post.
