I know this issue is starting to get exhausting to read, but I think Professor Bainbridge found a similarity between all of the objects:

They are all small or light enough to be easily carried. Given that students are not allowed to enter the other House's dormitories, it's possible that the perpetrator is someone's pet... Perhaps a cat or even an ( Read more... )

Well animals do tend to have strange habits but it's still odd, the random nature things being taken I mean. You think it's just because they were convenient?

Indeed, some people did act rather upset when their things went missing. They have a better chance of being intact if the items are just being hoarded.
